Works Good

Very easy to install and set up. Super fast speed to all my devices so far. Bought this because I needed a good and fast WiFi router to stream HD video to my 60" Smart TV...so far so good :) The "mydlink" app / website is a great bonus to be able to monitor the devices that are connected to your WiFi ...and to be able to block unwanted visitors or devices ;)

Very Impressed

Purchased this particular unit on recomendation from a friend. D-Link is on the second floor and my wife always complained about reception and speed while on her computer in the basement. Now....no more problems. I recommend this product highly.

I like it very much.

A friend of mine came to install it. I was able to see the improvement right away. I am very happy with my router. It is fast and everything works just perfect.

Router !

My wife kind of moved her computer place to the new bacement renno. Nothing but complaints. I had a D-Link (DIR-628) which workrd OK but the AC-1750 is amazing. Go for it, what a difference. No Sh...t.

Good hardware, but firmware is awful and buggy

I just replaced my old DIR-655 with a DIR-868L. The DIR-868L is much faster, especially if you connect to the 5GHZ band, and then dramatically faster if your device can use 11ac. Out of the box, connections are easy. However, if you want to do anything not out of the box (i.e. set up DHCP reservations, MAC filtering, etc), then the firmware is absolutely terrible. DLink has to come up with a firmware upgrade - the current version's features (1.07) are very inconsistent, extremely slow to refresh, and are nearly unusable. The old DIR-655 also had serious firmware defects - it had parental controls that kept attempting to access non-existent servers, whether you actually used those controls or not, resulting in constant errors. DLink seems to consistently make good hardware, but also consistently make horrible firmware.

A New Router .

We have recently renewed the basement and my wife uses it as her office and (WomanCave). I have had and used the D-Link DIR-628 for I don`t know how long and all was well. Then... the constant basement use caused peformance problems. A friend recently purchased the DIR-868L and told me this would fix my problem AND IT DID! Amazing? But True... "Happy Wifw< Happy Life" I recommend this product, for all my opinion is worth to ? Thanks,

happy with my purchase

It's been 4-5 years since I went out shopping for a router. My old router was still working my I found it to be slow and needed to be rebooted every week. I installed the Dlink router with a little help from a friend. He was the one who recommended I buy this model. I noticed a big difference as soon as we got it working. I'm very pleased with the purchase and all my connections are running much smother.
