The undead are back once again, and you have the unfortunate task of mowing them down as you inch towards safety. Left 4 Dead 2 introduces four new survivors and plays much like the first Left 4 Dead, only this time you're equipped with melee weapons and go up against bigger, stronger zombies.

L4D2's AI Director has been improved on, forcing you through different parts of a campaign and encouraging you to avoid taking the path of least resistance. It's capable of altering parts of the level, so the path you took this time might not be there the next.
The zombies have been improved, too. Some are bigger, some immune to fire. The Witch now wanders the level until disturbed by the players. Thought getting by her was easy the first time? Not anymore.
L4D2 introduces a new arsenal of melee weapons including a frying pan, an axe, a baseball bat, and of course, the almighty chainsaw. Now smashing, slicing, bashing, flattening, chopping and shredding your way through a mob of the undead is more gruesome (and fun) than ever before.
