Previously we communicated "Pre-order it from Future Shop and we'll make sure it gets shipped to you so it arrives on the release date - all you need to do is book that day off from work so you can pop it into your gaming machine as soon as humanly possible." This is an error. As communicated in our Pre-order FAQ:
Q: When will I receive my item?
A: We do our best to ensure that pre-ordered items are shipped as soon as possible. Depending on your location, you may receive it on release day or shortly thereafter. Please note that if the release date is on or close to a holiday, there could be a brief delay in shipping.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Call of Duty: Get Your Trigger Finger Ready
The Call of Duty franchise has broken entertainment sales records, with some of the newer titles earning sales of hundreds of millions of dollars in just a single day. If you're curious about why these games are so popular, all you need to do is pop Call of Duty: Black Ops or Modern Warfare 3 into your console of choice and jump into the firefight. The Call of Duty games are known for intense first-person shooter action, both in the immersive, story-driven single-player mode or the all-out, immensely satisfying multiplayer systems.
The first three games of the Call of Duty franchise were firmly embedded in the World War II first-person shooter genre, and all the games were popular and well-received. But it was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that brought the franchise into a modern day setting and not only blew the minds of action gamers, but vaulted the series into the top tier of AAA games, selling over 13 million copies. Each subsequent title has built upon that amazing success, establishing new records for entertainment launches (which include the genres of music and movies). It seems like each new game destroys the record set by the previous game, and gamers all around the world reap the rewards.
