Sony SRS-BTX500 represents the largest of Sony's X-Series line of universal Bluetooth Speakers but now featuring the added convenience of pairing by NFC (Near Field Communication) which is compatible with most modern smartphones.

If you have a Slingbox 500 or are thinking of getting one, you might be interested to know that it’s capabilities have expanded. A recent firmware update opened up a feature called SlingSync, which allows you to copy over content from your smartphone over to a hard drive connected in the back. The added benefit is that the box will also playback media files you already have stored on the drive onto your TV.

This year's Google I/O developer conference  held in San Francisco, didn't yield any new hardware or even a preview of the next  version of the Android OS. Google did focus on its key software features as well as an entirely new cross-platform Hangouts communications app.
