Beer expert and author, Ian Coutts, delivered a lecture last week, titled “Five Beers over Canada.” He discussed how you could get a better understanding of certain periods in Canadian history based on the type of beer being consumed. Coutts told the CBC that Canada became a beer country, as it was easier to produce due to environmental factors. As oppose to wine, which was created in small areas within the country.
