Through scholarships, technology donations and our time, we help inspire the dreams of youth.

Future Shop has partnered with Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada since 2001 to open doors for thousands of young Canadians so they can create their own infinite possibilities.

Future Generation Grade 10 Scholarships
Deciding to go on to post-secondary education isn’t always easy; if you don’t have the support or the financial means, it can be even more difficult.

Future Shop’s Future Generation Grade 10 Scholarships are designed to inspire and empower Boys and Girls Clubs members to pursue a post-secondary education. Each year 40 BGCC members from across Canada receive scholarships for their post-secondary education including $4000 held in trust, a $750 Future Shop gift card to buy a laptop and $250 towards their post-secondary application fees.

Here are three videos showing the difference a scholarship can make in the life of a Boys and Girls Club member.

Our History

In 2010, we celebrated 10 years of providing scholarships to Boys and Girls Clubs members – an investment of $1.69 million in 520 university students. Each scholarship was valued at $4000 and included a $1000 Future Shop gift card to purchase tools to help each student succeed.

Donating Resources

To help young Canadians develop their skills and encourage creativity, Future Shop makes monetary donations as well as provides electronics and appliances to create welcoming and engaging spaces for youth at Boys and Girls Clubs nationally. Over the years, our donations have included support for the Race for Kids National Fundraiser, hundreds of new and refurbished cameras for digital arts programs, and over 450 computers for after school programs.

Giving our time

Our employees work behind the scenes donating their time to paint Clubs, set up new electronics, help scholarship winners pick out the right laptop, and give back during our busiest time of the year with Holiday Hampers for many Boys and Girls Clubs families.
