Returns and Exchanges

For all returns and exchanges, you will require the following:

  1. The original receipt (or eReceipt, printed or on your mobile device) from your purchase – for online orders, login and get your invoice OR call us at 1-800-663-2275 for a copy.
  2. The original method of payment (If a gift card was used and was discarded, please proceed to a retail store where the refund will be processed on a new gift card).
  3. Original packaging and all items originally included by the manufacturer (incl. all manuals and accessories).
  4. Contact information provided when the order was placed (your name, address, and phone number are required when processing all returns and exchanges for purposes of detecting and preventing fraud).
  5. Valid government-issued photo ID (valid photo ID may be requested to confirm the information provided).

IMPORTANT: In the event that a returned order has items missing, the order may be refused, or the value of the missing materials may be deducted from the total credit amount. 

Certain types of products can only be returned within 14 days, and others can be returned up to 30 days after purchase. See the table below for more specific information:

**Please note: for online returns, Future Shop’s 30-day and 14-day return policy begins on the date your items are delivered to you.

In-Store Purchases and Reserve and Pick Up orders:
To return or exchange an item purchased in store, you can go to any Future Shop retail store within the country where the purchase was made. Proceed to the Futureshop.ca counter and present your item(s) along with all the required documentation (listed above). Refunds will be processed with the original method of payment. For purchases made with a credit card, the same card used to make the purchase will be credited with the refund. The credit will be made within 5 to 7 business days of us receiving and verifying the returned merchandise. For purchases made with a gift card, if the original was discarded, a new gift card will be issued for the refund amount.

Online Orders:
When you receive your package, we ask that you examine it closely prior to opening the factory sealed product packaging. If you are not satisfied with your order, you may exchange or return your product at any Future Shop retail store in Canada. For your convenience, we also accept returns by mail for orders that were shipped directly to you. Please contact us at 1-800-663-2275 to request your Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. It will take approximately 2 business days before an RMA is issued to you. IMPORTANT: Packages returned without an RMA number will be refused. Your RMA number is valid for 14 days.

Shipping and handling (S&H) charges are non-refundable; however, we will gladly refund your original shipping cost if you are returning an item because of an error on our part or we have determined that the product is defective.

Scheduled Delivery Items & Service Plans:
For information on how to return large items that required Scheduled Delivery, Performance Service Plans or other special items, please contact us at 1-800-663-2275 or click on the link in your Scheduled Delivery Notification email to correspond directly with our Home Delivery experts if the item will require pickup.

Free gifts, Bundles, and Fees:
All products (both defective and non-defective) must be returned in their original purchase condition, with the original packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals and any other item or accessory provided by the manufacturer. If the purchase included a free gift, to qualify for a full refund, the free gift must also be returned.

If you purchased an item as part of a bundle package, you may return that item separately. However, if you decide to break up that bundle by returning an item, the price of all items in the bundle reverts to what they would be if they were purchased individually. Therefore, you will receive a refund for the returned item that is less than the price you paid for it when you purchased it as part of a bundle.

If you were changed an environmental handling fee with your purchase, the fee will be refunded as well along with the cost of the item(s).

Future Shop does not charge a restocking fee.

Liquidation & Clearance Products:
All sales at Future Shop Liquidation are final. However, defective products may be returned or exchanged to the Liquidation location within 7 days of purchase (14 days for major appliances). Products sold by other Future Shop store locations or futureshop.ca cannot be returned or exchanged at Future Shop Liquidation, and products from Future Shop Liquidation cannot be returned or exchanged at other Future Shop stores or futureshop.ca. To ensure the best experience, we may, at our discretion and expense, require a service technician to service the unit or confirm defects prior to a return or exchange being performed. This service may be performed in your home or workplace for home delivered items. Returns or exchanges must be completed at a Future Shop Liquidation location.

Returns and exchanges of defective products require your name, address, phone number and signature for audit and fraud prevention purposes. A valid photo ID may be requested to confirm this information. Returns with the original receipt will be made to the original method of payment. Store credit will be given for returns with gift receipts.

SodaStream Cylinder Exchanges:

Exceptions:
Services such as Installation and Scheduled Delivery are not refundable if the service has been performed. Pre-Paid Cards, opened packages of Consumable Products (such as Batteries, Ink and Food), Hobby Grade R/Cs, Microphones, Sheet Music, In-Ear Monitors, Harmonicas, Musical Instrument Strings, Apparel, Breast Pumps, re-usable diapers, nail, body and skin care products, cosmetics, beauty accessories (e.g. press-on nails and eye lashes), vitamins, and nutrition supplements are not returnable. Due to copyright laws, Computer Software, CDs, DVDs, Video Games, and Music in opened packages may only be exchanged for the same item.
