Skinny mini mini

Perfect size as a take along. Works like a typical Apple tablet. Customize the Apps as needed. Wish it had mini USB and mini HDMI ports. Needs better Flash support.

Same thing again, just a bit smaller

If you are absolutely against trying something new other than iPhones and iPads, and want a smaller tablet, then this is for you. I was hoping that this would be something newer or better than my iPad 2, but was disappointed to find nothing has changed in over 2 years. Yes, it's smaller, but everything else is the same. Some things should not change, ofcourse, but technology should improve. I'm on my way to return this after 2 weeks of usage. I prefer my wife's Samsung Android tablet (which, incidentally cost less). Comparing it to even the previous-generation Android tablet she had from two years ago (an Asus I think), you can see how much technology has progressed. Her tablet is faster for some common apps, for the internet, and has many functions that the iPad doesn't, and after using it for an hour or two, going back to the iPad feels like going from Windows 7 to XP: things just feel flat, static and dated.

Got this and the Galaxy Tab 3...

This is not a bad tablet per se, but for the money, I was expecting a much better (not worse) tablet than the cheaper Galaxy Tab 3. Since I wanted to buy something good, as I'd be using it a lot and not replacing it anytime soon, so I had no problem paying more for the iPad, thinking it'd be better. It's not. The screen is better on the Galaxy, the battery life is better by a noticeable amount (even though in the specs the opposite is claimed, at least with my usage), the iPad's usage seems dated, with just icons, whereas you can put these active icons (widgets) on the Galaxy, that show you info before you even go into the app, I also got some car diagnostic apps for my Galaxy, which had no equivalent in the iPad app store. One of these was going to be donated to charity all along, but I didn't think it'd end up being the iPad, because as I said-I didn't mind paying more for better. Couldn't be happier with my Tab 3. My son has a Nexus 7 tablet, which he says is even better than the Tab 3, but I didn't get a chance to use it, so I can't say either way.

Bevel easily dinged

Only complaint, I got the black one and it easily gets dinged around the bevel and the black paint chips off so you see the silver underneath. So it's quite noticeable. I think the white one probably doesn't have the same problem because it has a silver bevel around the edge. Make sure to get a cover or protector if you get the black one.

Good shopping experience with Future Shop

I didn't know that Ipad mini doesn't have retina display when I bought it. I am used to the retina display so I could tell the difference between with or without it right away. Ipad mini can render webpage well but the fonts are blurry. Some people can accept it but I would rather paying more to get the retina display. The portability of Ipad mini is great and the size and weight are no doubt "right". I will wait for iPad mini with retina display coming out...

Don't know what you mean by a title?

I am fairly pleased with my new I pad, but it would have been nice to have step by step instructions on how to operate eg such as connecting your I pad to be able to send out and answer emails.etc. Also to know how to print something on your printer. I also find that my I Pad is not very sensitive to the touch of your finger in order to operate. It can be very frustrating when you are searching for something or trying to bring something up on the screen and you have to continue to touch to bring something up.

Mini great

Bought an iPad for my wife in January, liked it so much that I bought one for myself in February. Then wife saw a friends iPad Mini and fell in love with the size. We bought a Mini so it would fit in her purse better on trips. Now she plays games on the Mini while texting her sister on the iPad

Switched from Android Tablet and I love it

I had decided to go the Android route when I purchased my first tablet, the Asus Transformer TF101. At the same time, I purchased an iPad 2 for my wife. Needless to say, two years later, my Transformer has not had an OS update in over 18 months and there is no longer any support for it. Although it was great tablet for the first 6-8 months, Asus just didn't continue supporting it. So, to future proof myself, I decided to purchase the iPad mini and I am loving it. Integrates flawlessly with my Google Apps, Contacts, Calendar, and my MacBook. I realize I have become a bit of an Apple Fanboy now as a result, but there is a reason why Apple rocks... they make it so simple for everything to work so nicely together. Hey, I gave Android a fair shake... it just didn't work out for the long term.

Superb product

I used an Acer Android tablet for about a year. The experience was decidely mixed, so I followed some friends' advice and got the little iPad mini. Great machine! Excellent touch screen, fast, responsive, clear bright video... really I am very pleased with it. Battery life is a good 9 or 10 hours, and I find the wifi connectivity to be excellent. The only real caveat is that it has spoiled me for other products. I only use my Windows laptop when I have plenty of typing to do; I can't be bothered to wait for my laptop to boot up when I can fire up my iPad and be on the Internet in literally a few seconds!

A very good product

I am a 30+ year Apple person so there was no question when I purchased my first tablet that it would be an iPad. I treated myself to the mini and I love the size--it fits in my purse but is much easier to use for net searches than my iPhone. I'm not sure about the problems people are having with WiFi. I have not encountered any difference in speed between the mini, my iPad, or my MacBook Air. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Love my iPad mini

If you're trying to decide on a tablet to buy, look no further than an iPad. Whether its a mini or a regular iPad, the reliability and ease of use is second to none.

After using a couple iPad 4's I didn't think the iPad mini could compare. The size is perfect for everyday use. No other tablets offer so much in such a little package.

This is one of the worst tablets on earth. The games are BS, its so slow and it doesn't even have the retina display! I am also having a lot of wifi problems, since it doesn't connect even when i am close to the connector. Pros: This is very lightweight, and the screen is tiny and comfortable to hold. Otherwise, it is plain garbage

Love it!

I purchased the Mini IPad to travel with as I also have a Apple desk top. It is a very convenient for travel with. Fits perfectly in a med size purse. Using iCloud with it makes it easy to access all my data from my home PC. My only complaint would be with the cover, not the ipad. I purchased the cover but it dose not stay on well. Would have preferred a case but they doen't sell them for the mini.

Loving it!

I have an older iPhone, the 3GS, and was considering either upgrading my phone, or keeping it and getting an iPad mini. I'm glad I made the latter choice. The iPad mini has crystal clear display, and all the ease of use and functions of the (older) iPhone with better speed and performance. Best of all, at least in my case, is the clear display and larger workspace for my writing and drawing activities. Its the perfect size for taking on the go outside, or even around the house. One of my best buys this year.

wifi issue

My wife was received iPad mini as a gift last November. Almost everything is much better than my old iPad 1. Apps load faster, it's much lighter, and Game play is more smooth on it. But wifi performance is not so good. Browser sometimes stuck when loading a page, but Ipad 1 and iphone 4s do not have this issue, After upgrading to iOS 6.02 it's somewhat better, but still not as good as ipad 1 and iphone 4s.

Avoid mini

I have an original ipad, iphone 4. My brother has an ipad 2. I didnt want the same thing as my brother nor 3rd generation retina display. I was excited to upgrade my original ipad to new ipad mini. After a week usage of ipad mini, I was pretty confused between the size of regular iphone 4, ipad 2 and ipad mini. It didnt feel right size, software wise I noticed no difference b/w ipad 2, iphone; so I have returned it. Everything has almost remained same within all apple devices except the hardware specs. Im not sure when Apple is going to come out of its closet, and introduce more powerful device and most revolutionary tech compared to other brands. We have so many apple mobile device, they all offer same except the phone you can make a call. I play often with my friend's Galaxy Note Tablet during breaktime. I like revolutionary concept how it has customized multiple homescreens whcih is easily customized, updated, live feeds, live wallpapers, direct download, dont need to download though itunes, flash, integrated adobe photoshop, freedom of playing any audio/video media file, media streaming, ebooks and the s-pen.

I love the iPad mini. I would recommend it to any one. But I have had it for a few weeks now and it has had no problems, until a few days ago. The volume increase button has started sticking and has become increasingly hard to press. But overall my favorite buy this year.

Fave Apple product

I have my iPhone4 and I also had the iPad2. I just purchased the iPad Mini and it is my favorite Apple product. I can tether it to my iPhone when I need internet access if I'm out and about. It's the perfect size to use before going to bed and I love that I can carry it in my tote bag wherever I go since it's so light. I carry it in a case and it just looks like a book in my bag. Highly recommend it!

Love the mini!

I have an Ipod touch and I have friends with the Ipad1 and 2 series. I loved the touch, but as an older person the eyesight is not what it used to be! lol!! The full size Ipad is a wonderful Apple product, but I wanted something smaller. The mini is just the right in between size and I absolutely love it!!!

Really good buy!

I had bought a Blackberry Playbook, but it lacked everything, literally, but when this came out I thought what if this is just like the Playbook, but, it wasn't. It is probably the best buy you will have so far on the market if you want something small, so I say go ahead and buy it!

Why did Apple wait so long?

I bought the iPad mini on the first day that it came out and am extremely impressed with it. I don't feel that there's a big sacrifice with the smaller screen, but the difference in size and weight is huge. We have two iPads at home and I haven't touched the big one since getting this. The size and portability of it excellent and makes the old one feel clunky. Overall a gorgeous device. I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Great size and very light

I tested iPad mini today and my first impression is very positive. The tablet is very light and incredibly easy to hold and use. I think it is much better than the big brother – iPad with retina display. iPad mini doesn’t have retina display. Microsoft Surface doesn’t have ether. But iPad mini has much better pixel density and looks much better.

All that i wanted!

This is an excellent new Apple product. My brother has an iPad 3rd generation which for me is a bit too big for what i use it for. I generally tend to read notes when strudying or surf the web when I'm laying in bed. this product is both light, and very easy to use. Excellent selection with the App Store. Overall, 5 stars!

Love it!

The iPad mini is so light compared to the larger one. It's easy to hold in one hand. Set-up was great and it easily connected to my other devices. I found the volume buttons easier to use on this and I like that the backing was black instead if silver. Well worth the price. I love it!
