Hate it

1year and 3 months, it died, so no warranty. Not an intuitive operating system, always difficult to do basic stuff. I just hate it and will buy a windows system. A new laptop will cost $100 more than fixing this one ,which is so overpriced.

Why didn't I switch to a MacBook SOONER?

I have been a Windows/PC user since Windows came out. Out of frustration with my existing operating system and being forced to buy a new computer because of an operating system upgrade, I finally said "No more PC's" and purchased a MacBook Pro. Yes, I spent way more money than I wanted but I have absolutely no regrets. This laptop is simply amazing with the retina screen, fantastic lit keyboard that feels "oh so comfy", deep and clear sounding speakers. Setup was crazy easy! Everything seemed intuitive. Some things were setup so quickly that I thought there was an error but no error, just the Apple operating system doing its magic. So we're making the switch. So far 2 iPhones, an iPad, Apple TV and of course my MacBook Pro. And everything works so seamlessly with each other! For those of you who are hesitating, don't!! Make the switch and see why Apple users are so fanatic! Get the MacBook Pro!

wonderful machine

extremely clear display, facilitate my reading job on screen so much. super competitive performance carried in this only 13' body even more powerful than many bigger notebooks. humanized design everywhere. just cost a little bit much, and when run heavily like watch video online still have some noise. In a word, the most beautiful small-size notebook i have ever seen.

You will never regret.

I have had Acer, Asus, Benq, Lenovo... all of those laptops. This is the only one I think I am actually 100% Satisfied. If you are looking for perfection, this is the one. Good job Apple

Media Student

I'm a student of media and I use my MacBook Pro 13.3 to edit video, special effects, and audio files. This laptop is quick, powerful, and the retina display is very crisp! I would recommend Apple over PC any day as there is a lower operating cost and they last longer.

MAC Reformed

Have to admit I was "very" hesitant about switching to MAC... I have been a PC user for almost 30 years for those that remember the vic 20 and C64 and have built my own PC's a couple of times... I was tempted by Mac in early 90's but glad I didn't jump ship thereafter... When recently purchasing a new laptop and home computer my (now adult) children tried to convince me to go with apple... knowing a little about computers I told them no, they are over priced proprietary and you get more bang for your buck with PC. I purchased my desktop PC about 2 years ago and have brought it back for hard wear issues 4 times now and really it is just a fixture now in the corner... I then ordered a high end PC laptop on line from the manufacturer with i7 8 GB RAM 2 TB HD 2 GB GPU's for video editing and a little gaming... system ran hot always & despite stats couldn't dial up GFX on any game. Then DVD crashed, then HD...sent it out for warranty so in the interim tried out this MAC book... was hesitant and ensured I would be able to return it within the 14 days... I only needed it when my "new" laptop was being fixed. I expected a huge learning curve and frustrations with the new MAC OS & I think my wife was a little nervous as well. All I can say is WOW within an hour I loved this machine and it is only getting better... this thing does what you want, how you think it should do it... hard to describe but no frustration on getting ANYTHING working... a first for me in my life playing with computers... what was I thinking and why didn't I come to the dark side sooner LOL... It has been over a week now, still amazed...now to get a MAC Desktop... this machine seems to run twice as fast as a PC with double the stats... I did get the fan to turn on with Bio shock infinite but was playing hard... Enjoy... you can't go wrong with this machine IMO.

Very pleased! Fast, functional and it's quiet!

I've only ever had experience with PC computers and have used my previous laptop for almost 7 years until I decided to go for this MBP. I thought it would be hard to adjust to a new system but it's been an easy transition, only tiny hiccups -- after all, there's nothing google can't solve - and actually the MBP has a help function that is actually helpful as well! . It's slim, sleek and light without feeling fragile. I like how fast and quiet it is, no whirring fans or lag time waiting for start ups. The retina screen is beautiful, when I compared in stores I had my reservations whether it really made much of a difference.. but with use at home I can now see it really does! I am very happy and satisfied with my purchase!

Amazing!

The retina display is well worth the hype. It is stunning. It is such a pleasure to do photography work on this display. The computer is super fast for everything I have done so far. I was working on a Dell up until this point. This is my first MacBook and it exceeds my expectations.

Well worth the upgrade!

Upgraded from a mid-2009 macbook pro 15". First off, after using the computer for a couple weeks the retina screen is absolutely gorgeous! It makes browsing the web and writing reports more enjoyable, puts less strain on the eyes, and there is noticeably less glare. The battery life is also unreal, can almost go an entire day on one charge! Not to mention it is so slim and lightweight, and hooking it up to a HD tv via the HDMI port is so easy. So happy I upgraded, well worth the price.
