Most Unique Mouse!

Mouse has served me faithfully for about 8 months now. Once you get the mouse tweaked to your liking and your preferences, it works very well. Love the touch surface/gesturing etc. Fun to use!

Not Great but OK

I purchased my magic mouse about 4 years ago and it died recently. It was O.K but the tracking was iffy and once in a while it would just drop the connection for no apparent reason. Its high priced because its an apple product not because its better than what's available from anyone else. Its supposed to be as good as the trackpad is on my macbook pro but its not. I won't be replacing this expensive add on, I will buy a mouse for [price] that will do just the job a mouse should be able to do, navigate around a page and click links. I don't see why I need to pay 4 times the price just to be a loyal human drone to Apple.

Re: Dead Magic Mouse....wrong it is O.K.

I wrote my review of Apples Magic Mouse yesterday and said that mine had 'died' after 8 years and 1,000s' of hours of use. The rumours of the mouse demise have been prematurly exageratd. I put the batteries back in after 24 hours and lo and behold the mouse sprang to life again....weird. Anyway mouse is O.K. 8 years ....and counting. good product.

Very Good mouse

So far mouse has met all requirements and performs well, much better than the PC type mice I was using before. Perhaps unsatisfied users have not used the settings to get the best from the mouse.

Very disappointed

I thought that I would love my Apple Magic Mouse but you can use your fingers faster on laptop mouse and the Magic mouse is very slow. Worst mouse I ever bought and expected a better product especially from Apple. This mouse is slow motion compared to using the laptop mouse. Try a different one and be much better than this mouse.

Too complicated to be useful

I have both, Windows and Mac OS based latest computers. I bought the Magic Mouse (and the keyboard) hoping that it add some efficiencies to my Mac's everyday usage. The keyboard did, but the Magic Mouse usefulness went the opposite way! I find that the Apples' sticking to its one-button mouse is built-in inferiority compared to a 2-button mouse, like the one used for ages with Window and Linux computers. For ex. to get a second window open in Safari or copy and paste you have to go through some trial and error operations on the Magic Mouse - it sometimes works, and sometimes does not. Inside any more complex software, this mouse is next to useless. So I frankly got pissed off at this mouse and replaced it with a cheep Windows mouse which works fantastically well on my Mac. Now I do not have to keep my breath whether it will work the next time I want to execute something with the mouse. The mouse does look very good and goes very well with the rest of my mac products. I wish it worked as prescribed...

Absolute garbage

Worst product I've ever purchased. I use my the mouse with my laptop when I'm laying down in bed. When it's under the sheets, it has connectivity issues, even loses connection. The gliding is bad that the tracking doesn't work well on all surfaces. And when it does, it doesn't feel smooth. Ergonomically a bad design; it needs to be a bt bulkier and longer. Long periods of use will hurt your hand, it's that uncomfortable. The gestures are also too sensitive, that when playing video, even the slightest touch interferes. It is my first bluetooth mouse so I can't compare battery life, but I think it's average. Which is disappointing for my needs.

This mouse constantly looses its connection with the computer. Works great when it's connected but the sporadic connection makes it very annoying to use.

Great Wireless Mouse!

I really enjoy my Magic Mouse! It's use of gestures to flip between open windows/web pages/programs etc is excellent! Works great with Mountain Lion! It's nice and light. Very ergo dynamic and comfortable to use. Some mice can be very uncomfortable. I would defiantly recommend this product to everyone wishing to purchase a wireless mouse. If I could make one change, it would be to have a rechargeable internal battery as oppose to AA batteries. Other than that, five stars!

Best mouse by far

The scrolling feature on this mouse is worth the price alone. Quite simply, the easiest to use, most bomb-proof mouse that I have ever owned. No moving parts (rollers, balls, etc.) means that things will never get gummed up. I have been through far too many mice (PC and Apple based) because of this problem, but no more! As usual, the Apple design is exquisite.

Apple Magic Mouse

Beautiful mouse…but heavy! A lot of adjustment is required to adapt to the flatter, heavy mouse. And, it absolutely sucks for any game that is timed…not fast enough by a long shot! Still, aesthetically, it is a beauty! Too bad it isn't fast like the cheap mice sold everywhere. The scrolling feature is fabulous.

I received my Apple Magic Mouse with my purchase of a brand new 27" iMac and all I have to say about them both is AMAZING!! I love the clean design and smooth controls. It is the best mouse I have ever used.

What a great Mouse

Hey Everyone, Went out today and purchased a magic mouse and wow what a great piece of hardware. i was a little hesitant to purchase this mouse simply because of all the bad review's on Apple's support forums but alas I bought one that works and i am really glad a did. I fully recommend this product to anyone. I am running Lion on a 27" iMac. Sometimes a leap of faith is all it takes. Richard

Cool multi-touch but overall dissapointed

Surprised at the lack of precision provided by this mouse. Recently moved from a Windows environment and was using a Microsoft Mouse (with blue-track or something like that, it's a MS Mouse 6000). Multi-touch is cool and can match the gestures used on the trackpad, except most gestures use one less finger. If it wasn't for this I would give this mouse a 1 out of 5. Mouse speed was unbearably slow, changed options to fastest setting but still took a few swipes to get the cursor across the screen. My guess is this mouse is using the old first generation tracking light and needs a really good surface to work properly. But I'm not willing to carry around a mouse pad with me everywhere. Just for the heck of it, I tried out my Microsoft Mouse. Expecting the Mac to promptly turn it's nose up at it, but it didn't. It worked, and it worked really well. If you are looking for a good cordless mouse, I suggest a different manufacturer that's using a better tracking technology. If you want to stay 100% Mac, I suggest looking at the new cordless trackpad. It appears that this is where Mac is going. I almost went this route, but I like my mouse.

Not that good mouse at all

Pros: Really good looking mouse. It has feautres like scrolling down and up, page FWD, page Back. Very sensitive and responsive. Good price too! Cons: Ergonomically is useless. After 20 minutes or so, I was unable to use it any more. Not precise either. Disconnects all the time. I have Microsoft BlueToth mouse that works 10x better with MacBook Pro than acutal Apple mouse.

best mouse ever

This is the best mouse ever - I'm really happy with it. It works flawlessly with my mac mini and macbook pro. It took me less then a minute to setup and its easy to get used to it. I love the fact that its wireless - I also got the apple rechargeable batteries with it. Five Stars - Highly recommended

This is probably one of the best and most intuitive input devices I have ever used. I am totally an Apple fanatic and a Professional Ergonomist that enjoys great human factors in my products. I am with the other reviewer that it would be nice to have a charging option, batteries are not my favourite. The functionality and general ease of use are great, Jonathan Ive and his team did it again

Not quite as bad now

they came out with an app called magic prefs, which makes middle click possible... disregard my last review.... still takes a bit of getting used to but, all in all a decent mouse even with a little bit of gaming.

Apple's Magic Mouse

After receiving the magic mouse at Christmas I was eager to try it out on my recently purchased Mac Pro laptop. To my surprise it would only work under the Mac OS and only function as a 2 button mouse under Vista no scrolling which I run under Bootcamp on this laptop. Even though the magic mouse has a very modern look, it is very uncomfortable. I traded the magic mouse for a bluetooth Microsoft mouse which works very nicely in both the Mac OS and Vista plus has a superior shape that fits comfortably in either right or left hand.

I was surprised

Having used the Mighty Mouse and tossed them in the drawer and bought PC mice in the past I did not have any hope this mouse would be so much better. But I am impressed, you can customize the mouse enough that is just works. Though its not a gaming mouse for sure but for your mousing abilities is nice and smooth. My only beef is this day and age we should not have to buy batteries.. why not a charging dock Had it a charging dock and high end batteries I have given it a perfect score Still give it high marks. Take one for test drive at the store first and you will not be disappointed.

Great Product

my mighty mouse broke a few weeks ago which i've used 2 in the past 3 years. thankfully it broke. because it gave me an excuse to look for a new mouse. its been 2 weeks thus far with the new magic mouse and so far its been excellent. i used it daily for work. as a designer for pinpoint accuracy, i like it. sometimes the mouse zooms into a section by accident. but with its other great qualities touch pad and lower seamless design vastly improved for ergonomics. your wrist will be less tired for those who suffer from carpol. also its my first wireless mouse. bluetooth works perfectly. i would recommend this product for sure as a great compliment to your desktop mac

Not reccomended for gaming.... AT ALL

if you currently play any games such as wow or any other that you need to hold both the left and right click down. i would not recommend this mouse at all unless you want to re-learn the movements using keyboard or alternate mouse buttons. it is a great mouse for regular use web surfing, picture browsing, music, etc... but not good for gaming at all. unless they come out with a software update that can help with these issues. i will be returning mine.
