The Apple Magic Trackpad is the first Multi-Touch Trackpad designed to work with your Mac desktop computer. It uses the same Multi-Touch technology you love on the MacBook Pro. And it supports a full set of gestures, giving you a whole new way to control and interact with what's on your screen.

More Information

Swiping through pages online feels just like flipping through pages in a book or magazine. And inertial scrolling makes moving up and down a page more natural than ever.

Magic Trackpad connects to your Mac via Bluetooth wireless technology. Use it in place of a mouse or in conjunction with one on any Mac computer even a notebook.

It's the largest Multi-Touch Trackpad made by Apple. So there's even more room for you to scroll, swipe, pinch, and rotate to your fingers' content. And since the entire surface is a button that clicks, you can use it in place of a mouse.

Magic Trackpad features the same sculpted aluminum design as the Apple Wireless Keyboard, and side by side the two sit flush at the same angle and height.

Well designed, works great!

The magic trackpad is simply perfect. It has a really nice design, and its very light. Its supports all of apples latest gestures, including 1, 2, 3, and 4 finger gestures. Some gestures vary from the macbook touchpad, like the dashboard swipe. You can also customize some of the movements to your preferences. I am running it with the latest software update, lion.

Superb under Lion

I have the new Mac OSX 10.7 (Lion) being tested on an iMac and have been using just a regular mouse. Little did I know how much I've been missing until I bought this trackpad. First, it's extremely well built. A solid slab that sits perfectly beside the keyboard. The trackpad surface, typical of all Apple trackpads, is as smooth as butter and the response is light years ahead of any trackpad I've ever used. The size is perfect too, bigger than a macbook's trackpad but small enough that not a lot of finger travel is required. Here's the best part, it changes the way you interact with Mac OSX so much that it makes the mouse almost obsolete. In 10.7 Lion, there are a total of 14 gestures built-in based on 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 finger-use. It took me a while to get accustomed to them but now that I have, only a couple of days after using them, I really can't see myself ever going back to using a mouse, at least under OSX. It is that good. Everything from tapping to scrolling, page forward and back, dragging and coping, pasting, moving between spaces and dashboard to the new LaunchPad and Mission Control, the trackpad makes life so much easier and you literally become more productive overnight. A must buy for OSX users, especially for the upcoming OSX 10.7.

Not a fan

I love love love all things Apple but I have to say after two weeks with the trackpad, it's on its way back tomorrow. I enjoyed the smooth gliding for scrolling and flipping but when it came to simple point and click I was disappointed with it. Grabbing and dragging images/pix etc felt sluggish and often I felt like I was using too much effort. That being said, still a HUGE Apple fan all they way!

Amazing product

After the wireless magic mouse broke down, I hesitantly placed an order for the trackpad. My wife, who is technophobic, did not like the idea. I was running Mac OS 10.5 and had to upgrade to 10.6 (which was long due anyways). One I paired the device, the initial setup did not automatically prompt me to download updates and therefore the trackpad icon did not show up in System Preferences. I could not utilize most of trackpad features until I manually updated. Once the process was complete, I was able to use the trackpad and instantly realized how great it was. The only issue so far is that when I click and drag, then let go once done dragging, I feel the cursor "sticky" for a fraction of a second. I wonder if anyone else has the same feeling. Oh and for my wife, she's impressed too and has been using it without any complaints.

Amazing product.

I have had the trackpad for a few days. It takes a little getting use to because of all the things you can do with it. Now that I am on to it, I love it. It's like having a touch screen computer without having to reach across your desk and mess up the screen. You can do anything with this touch pad and I pretty much don't use my magic mouse at all now. The surface is just the right size. I ordered it on-line through Future Shop website and their delivery service is super. I ordered it late Monday night and had it delivered to my door Wednesday morning. For the price of the trackpad, you can't be without it.
