It's My Second One

Purchased my first one, sadly dropped it and broke the LCD screen within about 6 months accidentally. My sweet husband went out and replaced it almost immediately, with the exact same one. I love it today as much as I did last year. It's a great device and my only complaint is the rear facing camera is not existent, as there isn't one. That aside, couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.

Nexus 7

this is my first tablet and so far am not disappointed in it.It does not have a rear facing camera that is something to think about.I do not have use for the camera so it wasn't a huge deal but may be for others.Everything i need is on this tablet and i love it!

nexus 7 asus 32gig

great product until it froze on the "X" screen during boot and never started again. i followed online tutorials but coudnt bring it back to life. i was right in the middle of things, and i used it a plenty for the six months i've owned it. until this happened i totally would of rated this thing 4/5 as a great value... but now it gets a two only because i loved it while it worked. it deserves a 1/5 honestly.

Google Nexus 7 by ASUS 32GB 7"

I bought the Nexus 7 as a Christmas present. When I got home I tried charging it for 8 hours. I was unable to use the tablet, nothing came up on the screen. I returned the tablet to the store and was unable to replace the tablet so I had to get a refund. Needless to say the person I had bought it for was greatly disappointed on Christmas day that they were unable to use their tablet.

Perfect size for travel

Love my new Nexus 7. It's a perfect size for travel and it has absolutely everything a person could need. Sometimes have to search forums for instructions - ie how to download Adobe Flash Player. Still haven't figured out how to add my email - instructions are rather poor - have no idea what POP or IMAP is - but I just access it thru the web.

The only computer I have

Since I got my Nexus 7, my computer got used so little that I gave it away. The Nexus has been dropped a dozen times at least (I have a silicone skin on it with no screen protector) and my kids play games on it all the time. No problems whatsoever, and the performance, features and resolution of the device and its Android operating system make me glad didn't get the iPad Mini.

Great tablet for great price.

Now with the update to 4.3 it works even better. Like all tablets, if you drop them the wrong way, they will obviously crack; had an ipad that fell of the sofa and it also cracked. The wifi works great even connected to my Galaxy S4.

Nexus 7 is great

Great tablet, perfect for mobile web access when wifi'd to my phone. I will never use my Kobo again, this one does it all. Oh, and for those saying it shuts off randomly, I suspect you have a case with the magnetized shut off and your are folding it back against the tablet, thereby shutting it off.

Poor tablet and service

Got this tablet in March and it worked good for a couple of weeks then would shut off and need to be rebooted. I sent it in to be fixed and they say they put a new screen battery in but it does the same thing as before. When you are doing something important it gets really annoying. Not worth the money with these kind of problems need to get an iPad instead.

The Nexus 7 is an easy tablet within use and size. I can carry this anywhere, my friends love it and ask me where i got it from. a few bought it them selves. the internet works fast and officially. I can email and text with no worries.

Just Don't Drop It!!

Worked fine for 6 months (although it often turned itself off on its own - that was slightly annoying) but otherwise great screen resolution, easy touch. UNTIL I dropped it while it was in its case - now it appears the touchscreen on top is totally messed up, you cannot use it most of the time. From what I see on the internet, I notice I'm not the only one who found out it's way too delicate. Will definitely NOT buy another one. Oh, I've also had Kindle Fire and Kobo Arc and they are much more robust.

Love it - but what's with the screens cracking?

Bought two for my kids at Christmas, and they're great - except that overnight a few weeks ago the screen cracked on my daughter's. Looked online, and apparently it's a remarkably common problem - and NOT one that Asus is being very good about solving (they consider it to be a customer-induced problem - and gave as an example things like placing it down on a table, which can cause vibration and hence cracking). If you buy it, this is definitely a product to get the extended warranty on :-(

Nexus 7 32GB

So far it works great. My son likes it better than his I-Pad. Does the job, not too big or too small, charges quick and lasts a good while. Plays movies with quality video and sound.

Bought this a few months ago. Broke within weeks (touch screen issues). Shipped it back to Asus for repairs. They shipped it back to me a week or so later. Open it up, still completely broken. Since I purchased it the back panel felt like it would eventually come lose one day. I mentioned this when it went under repairs. When i got it back it seemed better but quickly started feeling loose again after a few days. Also, I was never able to get internet tethering working over bluetooth. I think this is a known bug with this device and in Android that Google refuses to fix. This device is cheaper than an iPad mini but don't waste your money.

Big disappointment

I have two 10’’ tables (Acer and Samsung) so I thought having 7’’ Google Nexus would be nice addition. But it turned out to be colossal disappointment. The only good thing in Google Nexus 7’’ table is screen with 1280x800 resolution. Rest is well below standard; even driver that Asus has on its web for Windows XP is not working (to download files from PC to tablet).

love it

I love this tablet. By far the best android tablet around. And I like it even , more then my iPad mini. I have dropped out twice on cement floor and although the 2nd time cracked the screen On the very top left corner the tablet has continued to run fantastically. my only real issue with this tablet is that it does not have rear facing camera and a memory slot.

Need to be a bit more robust

I bought this tablet a few weeks ago. It's great exept for the fact that it's not very robust. I was watching a video and wanted to hand it over to my spouse on the couch but it slipped out of our hands, fell on the dog and the lower right corner hit the thick area rug. It wouldn't turn on anymore and the lower right corner was slightly opened. There wasn't any physical damage to the exterior so it's clearly something inside. I'd definately recommend this tablet but it's certainly not made for kids to play with...or adults in my case;)

Blown Away

I just got this tablet for my birthday and i am blown away! i keep learning more and more and it's really interesting!i personally like the 7" screeni think it feels great in the hands great if you enjoy using e-books the screen is amazing and the data transfer from my pc is amazingly easy! when i hook it up it just like an external hard drive! the only thing i dont like is there is only the front facing camera which by the price is still great but there is no designated app for it it is there for such things as skype or intsagram! overall vaery good!! i can never put it down!

Great Tablet - Check Before You Buy

This tablet is the best android I have used. My first one did not turn on so we had to go back and return it (an inconvenient drive). The tablet has and awesome screen and its app store is full of good free apps and books. However the speakers are on the back and are not pointed towards you so I often have to cup my hand around it to direct the sound towards me. The screenshot option is very difficult to use but the rest of the tablet is very user friendly. The Nexus 7 has some very fun, interesting and customizable options but it is a pain to transfer all of my iTunes music onto the Nexus. Overall the tablet is very good and I would definitely recommend it.

Asus, you impressed me yet again.

In one word, perfect. The Asus Nexus 7 is the tablet of your dreams. It even has Nvidia Tegra 3, allowing your games to be more smooth and your videos to be more eye- capturing. I had no problems what so ever when I got mine. Asus has always impressed me, but now, I'm very happy with my tablet. It's my life, my addiction, and my other- half.

Best Overall 7" Tablet.

After experimenting with a couple other lower to mid priced 7" tablets and being fairly disappointed I decided to give the Nexus 7 a shot. I'm not terribly fond of Asus generally speaking but in this instance they have impressed me. The tablet is fairly fast at everything I've tasked it with. It maneovers the internet quickly with the stock Chrome browser, and plays games from the play store smoothly as well as some emulated games. I've had it running N64 without any hiccups. It multitasks well also, though if you really get going the music will sometimes cut out. It's weaknesses are it's lack of expandable memory and it's speakers/headphone jack. I don't mind the speakers being low quality at this price, but the speaker jack kind of bugs me. Even when the plug is all the way in the sound gets scratchy sometimes. Screen resolution is fantastic and touch response is superb. With all of the cloud storage options out there my worry about expandable memory is non existent.

Nexus 7 Rocks

I have a Nexus 7 16GB model. I should have bought the 32GB, but I also have a 64GB iPad (full size). I find myself using the Nexus more often than the iPad simply because of the form factor. It fits in a jacket pocket easily and even fits in a jeans back pocket - just remember not to sit on it. The iPad is a bit too big to be a constant companion, the Nexus is sized just right. The only thing that I miss from the iPad is playing iTunes over the cloud, but then my iPhone does this just fine. I use an iPhone as well (and in fact, use the iPhone as a portable wifi hotspot to get the Nexus 7 online when I'm out of regular wifi range). I figure it is the best of both worlds to use an iPhone for iOS apps, and a Nexus 7 for Android apps. The Nexus 7 is an incredibly useful device. I wouldn't want to be without mine.

Love it

Returned a Galaxy Tab 2 to get this instead. I wanted the OS updates (without hassles), the better IPS screen and quad-core. Very happy. Loaded MX Player and Mediahouse Pro to stream DIVX Movies easily. The plain Android layout is sooo much easier to work with that the ones customized by Manufacturers like Samsung. If this had a rear facing camera it would be the absolute best 7" Tablet IMHO. But as is it probably the best 7" Android tablet.

Good tablet but with manufacturing faults.

Love the tablet itself, but I had issue with the manufacturing of the equipment and parts. First the USB connection cable was faulty. The tablet rebooted every time it plugged into my computer or when I moved the tablet while plugged in. Also, my computer would not be able to read the tablet properly. And now with the speaker is loose which rattles when the volume is turned up. Makes it very annoying while listening to music or watching a show.

Asus 32GB Nexus 7

Great unit, no problems, amazing display (Apple 1024 x 768 pixel, Asus 1280 x 800 pixel with IPS display) with great speed (Apple A5 chip - 1GHz, Asus Quad core - 1.2GHz) and response this unit is has 1G of RAM compared to 512MB for the ipad I have and even finding that I don't use my MacBook anymore as well. The unit is easy to set up and get running with thousands of android apps to choose from. Also like how easy it is to hold this unit with the rubber back and its light weight and size (Apple 200mm x 134.7mm x 7.2mm, Asus 198.5 x 120mm x 10.45mm), also like it's ability to sync to any computer/media player unlike apple products. (ie itunes). The battery life is the same for both around 10hrs.

Great product @ a great price! I owned both the iPad Mini and the Nexus 7 and ended up returning the iPad Mini and keeping this. This 32BG Nexus 7 is almost half the price of the 32GB iPad Mini and it is double the quality. It is very responsive, has a crisp clear screen and is the perfect size. I am very happy with this tablet!

All bad lemons

Well my luck....all bad lemons regarding this product. Got two from one future shop location and returned: reason being speaker defective in both. Then went to another location and gave it a last try. Good product, crystal clear screen and very interactive device, however the tablet freezes and lags when switching between apps pretty much everyday. Reviews have been good and it is a great product, but I will return this and go with the iPad Mini which has been consistent in trouble free performance, save for resolution and customizability. Sorry to say, but Google I am disappointed, if you get a one which doesn't have all of the above issue, then please hold on to it.

Awesome Tablet for Price

I went back and forth on which tablet to buy. I really really really wanted an iPad mini...but when you look at the specs vs cost...Nexus wins hands down. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. You should buy this if you want a quick responsive tablet with tons of choice of apps from Google's Play store for an agreeable price. You shouldn't buy this tablet if you're planning on taking a lot of pictures/video as the device only has a 1.3mp forward facing cam. Plus, Google devices have so much more versatility than Apple's. Btw you can load your media from iTunes into Android devices. Definitely recommend! I also tried the Samsung Galaxy Note...I personally prefer the smaller size as it's easier and lighter to carry. I would've kept the Note if it wasn't so expensive, but all in all the Nexus meets my needs.

Reviews are correct, on this tablet, for ounce.

If you want freedom and speed, this should be the choice. I have found no glitches as some have reported. I used all leading phones and tablets, the Nexus7 with data was the best experience for me. For work, it can be a time saver, extraordinaire. Android has a app, to do everything. Also the N7 is fast enough to handle upgrades without a glitch.

two thumbs up

This is my first tablet purchase and the decision has been great I have the Galaxy Nexus phone and this is basically that ( just bigger and minus the phone.) Was going to go with the 10 inch tablet but after instore comparisons of both, the 7 inch seemed more suited due to its smaller size. Some had stated that drawbacks to this device were that it had no HDMI but I don't care as it is just the right size for surfing while relaxing in bed or on the sofa and for many of us that's the whole reason behind buying the 7 inch tablet. One thing that would of made this tablet even better is if it had a rear camera to capture photos ..the front camera for me is worthless as I don't vid-chat...but that's just me and I accept the fact that "nothing" is 100% perfect. All in All I am completely happy with this buy and I might add that after a few days of using this tablet, it sure makes my almost new laptop seem very out of date .

Nearly Perfect

This was my first time trying an Android product and I really enjoyed it. The OS (Jelly Bean) is intuitive, easy to navigate and very fast. Games, movies and internet navigation all run very smoothly. The screen looks really good and the tablet is very comfortable to hold. The speaker position is a bit odd (on the rear) but not a deal breaker. I did have a couple issues that warranted my returning the product. The glass on the left side started lifting in the first day of ownership; research found that this is common with the Nexus 7 and with other ASUS tablets. There is also a screen flickering issue that is thought to be caused by operating with a low wi-fi signal. All in all, this is still an amazing tablet at a great price!

Fast, smooth, bright sharp screen and a low price. No physical problems. I have been able to find many great apps on Google Play. Sound volume is low and I tend to use headphones. Compares favorably to the iPad 1 & 2 but size makes it much more convenient. Overall I love this tab.
