Another winner from Canon.

I got SX260 before going on vacation to Florida. The Camera didn't disappoint me. I took nearly 2000 images and a lot of videos using it. Auto mode is almost perfect. There are situations where the camera flash doesn’t fire especially when there is a bright light behind the subject. In this case I use P mode with the flash forced on to compensate for the bright light in the background and the result is always good. GPS geo tagging is fun to use. Video quality is very good. This camera lacks 60 FPS when shooting 1080P videos, I use 720P video resolution and it is very good with a stereo sound. The 20X zoom is a killer when you travel. I took great shots using the long range zoom for alligators using full zoom and the IS worked perfectly to get steady shots. I normally turn off Digital zoom which ca go up to 80X, but used it one time to capture a Rocket launch at Cape Canaveral that was too far for the 20X zoom. I was surprised how good the images looked. It is an excellent camera, very responsive, has tons of features and very good low light performance. Another winner from Canon.

DIGITAL CAMERA

I looked around a lot for an extended zoom camera. I was all set to go with a bridge camera in order to get the zoom range I was looking for, even though I knew a pocket size would be more practical. Then I stumbled on the Canon SX260, It had just come out. I garbed it and haven't looked back since. I'm not kidding myself into thinking that this will turn me into a fashion photographer, but for what I need, back packing on the weekend, and work site visits during the week, its perfect. the zoom is great, the focus is better than some of the bridge cameras I tried, and its the right size. Big enough to get a good grip on, but small enough to slip into a brief case or coat pocket. For what it is, it's the best one around, in my opinion.
