Great SSD

I did some research before buying this SSD, I've seen first hand the effects of heavy IO on SSDs, and how badly OCZ was failing. The Intel series was reliable but too expensive. All the current SSD with the sandforce controllers having problems. Crucial was making a good SSD, having the same controller used by Intel, good benchmarks and good price. I purchased this for my macbook pro, and got an adaptor kit to install in the optical drive. Has been working great for a year. I did one firmware upgrade. I am buying a second drive as well.

Crucial M4 128GB SSD

Brought this SSD on Boxing Day. Because the SSD does not come with a transfer software, had to find the software and USB-SATA cable to make the transfer, once done, the computer works well, it speed up the process more than 10 times.

No problems so far

Purchased this drive during the on-line boxing day sale, so I do not have it long enough to comment on the drive's reliability. It works well and fast in my laptop. Acronis software cloned my old drive realy well on to this SSD. FutureShop should have this drive on sale, more often.

Nice !

I had a 50GB OCZ Vertex2 that was just too small for my Windows 7 PC boot drive. This 128GB is the perfect size. I use other drives for storage. My Windows Experience went from 6.9 for the OCZ to 7.3 with this Crucial M4. I noticed a significant difference in speed right away. So far, it seems reliable, but it's definitely better than OCZ. OCZ can never get their firmware right for their SSD's and they keep updating their SSDs firmware far too often. The firmware for this Crucial M4 has been rock-solid for over a year now. Highly recommend this drive.

Amazing SSD

This is one of the best SSD's around right now. Super fast, super reliable, and just all around great. Do not defragment the drive. SSD's don't need it. Installing a SSD is the single biggest update you can do on any computer. Sure a new CPU is great and lots of RAM is awesome, but if you have a slow disk drive you won't be using your components full potential.
