Good value

Well first off I have to say these speakers represent an excellent value especially at the bargain basement sale prices they often go for.You would be hard pressed to find a better entry level tower performance wise.They also look great and have a small footprint so even the wife will approve.The trademark Energy crispness and clarity are present here in spades.They image very nicely as well.Surprisingly they punch out some good bass performance for the small drivers.On the negative side they do sound a little bright and edgy but never overly fatiguing. Mids are a little off too, some male vocals sounded a little raspy.Of course Im comparing them to my RC 70s so that is to be expected.My favorite type of music to listen to on these is acoustical which is their strength I believe.

Very Happy

I bought these to replace my over sized wharfdale speakers and am extremely happy with the clarity. Although they are not great on bass my powered sub makes them the perfect addition.

Two pairs of brothers

Decided and bought a pair of CF-30 for Yamaha AX-497 in my second room, having had a great experience with a pair of CF-50s with Pioneer VSX-1025-K for a year and a half in my first room. The CF-30s deliver the same great clarity as the CF-50s and I have not a word of complaint regarding the CF-30 bass vs. CF-50 bass, possibly because my CF-30s are in somewhat smaller (although not audio-friendly) room. The CF-30s ended up being a very adequate replacement for my good old JBL E30 rather big bookshelf speakers (also from FS about a decade ago). Is seems I becoming an Energy Connoisseur fan.

Fantastic Value

I purchased two of these speakers as my front left/rights. They perform well with all kinds of music, movies, games, etc. Essentially at their price level (I got them on sale), I can't complain about anything. I'm a terribly picky person, and I'm extremely happy with these speakers. I guess my one criticism would be it'd be nice if they could punch out a little more bass (I like tight but decent bass coming from my fronts, it sounds nicer and less detached than having the subwoofer do all the work). While these speakers do produce some decent bass (especially guitar-related kind of bass), that'd be my one criticism. All the same, they're just absolutely great speakers.
