Awesome system!

Loved it from day one, always impresses and hasn't let me (or my guests) down when showing off good tunes or movie scenes. The only issue I have is that the airplay function tends to have audio "skip" every few weeks, reset of system fixes it quickly but having to unplug it every 2-3 weeks gets annoying. Otherwise it's Great!!! Would recommend these speakers with a quality receiver to anyone looking for great sound without having to leap into Klipsch or B&G territory. 9/10, amazing bargain when they're on sale,

Happy Owner

I have never written a review on a product before, but after almost 2 years of owning this package, i had to come back and comment. I am in love with this system. I paired this with a Yamaha HTR - 6063 receiver, and a pair of Cerwin Vega tower speakers (next to upgrade one day) and this system pounds. Extremely clear at reference level, no distortion whatsoever, I wished the subwoofer was a little bigger, but it does the trick more than adequately. I have experimented with different room setups to get the most out of the surround sound, and while doing so have dropped a couple of these from chest height on to the floor and no issues at all (besides initial panic...). When I had them set up without the CV Towers the sound was just a shade on the thin side, but I was still impressed, but paired with a good set of towers to make 7.1 system it was perfect, and i recommend doing so. I will get a pair of energy towers one day to match. I am a huge music lover, been in bands play guitar, bass, and have been doing so for 15 years. Music quality has always been important too me, I can honestly say with this system, even today i catch myself just sitting listening to music more often then ever. TV doesnt need to be on anymore, the detail that comes through these speakers is much better than i expected (even after extensive research). I have also owned mismatched systems, and home theater in the box systems, i have family that own good quality sound bars, and I have been to peoples houses that have set up very good systems. This is better. By a mile. Of course price is everything, but bang for the buck, this system was the best. I honestly cant tell you how happy i am with this product.

Another year, another speaker shot!

Read some reviews on the system in advance and for the money, people raved on the sound quality. So, for my small condo, figured this would be a great little system (and it looked good too). As with most of these systems, upgraded the speaker wire before hooking up because the cheap string-like speaker wire they provide with the system is just not acceptable. Sound quality for my 10 x 14 condo living room is great....when everything works! Bought the system in Jan 2010, by Feb 2011, I had to bring the entire system back in to exchange because the subwoofer stopped working. Explained to the FS folk that I spoke to Energy and they said FS had to honour their manufacturer warranty in-store, so got the entire system exchanged. Fast forward to Sept 2012 and here I sit with one of the small satellite speakers producing a "garbled/scratchy" noise when any sound comes through it. I'm remiss to now have to try and find the original packaging in storage to pack it all up and lug it back to a nearby store to try and get everything replaced for one small speaker. FINAL THOUGHT: Sounds good when it works, build quality just not there!

Great sound

I have had these speakers for 5 years now, and still, they sound amazing. Very clear, accurate and crisp sound. if you have a small room, get ready to be blown away. The sub woofer is great, can;t go past 5 on them, too loud, and subwoofer begins to distort after 7, depending on level of bass. It says a lot when even after 5 years the price of these speakers have not gone down. Get a nice Yamaha or Denon reciever and you will enjoy every sound it makes, for years to come.

Best bang for your buck

With a good receiver, you can't go wrong with these speakers. The sound is as good as many higher priced systems.
