No issues here

Got a very good deal on this fridge and is working normal so far. No issues with noise etc like others are complaining, my understanding is that fridge machinery do have to operate hence ofourse there is some sound, but nothing annoying or loud. Still have to figure out the water pipe line business.

Terrible and noisey

I bought this fridge brand new. delivery went smooth. I did not plug in the fridge for 12 hours to let everything settle. To my dismay, the fridge is loud and noisy. It even makes knocking noisey loud enough that you would think somebody is at the door. Very disappointed in this fridge. Pay the extra money and buy the best better brands. I even spent the extra money for the stainless steel, big mistake buying this fridge. BUYER BEWARE

A decent fridge

I've had it for about 4 months now, the compressor on occasion is audible, but otherwise fairly quiet. Water dispenser is a tad slow due to the 1/4" connection, but otherwise great, the LED light is a nice touch. For the price, I am quite pleased. The digital temperature controls on the front are perfect.

Not satisfied

I do not recommend this fridge. It has a noisy motor. Future shop replaced the fridge after 2 weeks. The new fridge is louder then the first(same model). I am happy with the look and convenience of this fridge, just wish that GE would use quality parts.

A super side by side!

I have been useing this Fridge for 7 months and just love it! The icemaker takes up a bit of room, but having filtered water and ice (crushed or cubed) is so convenient. My kids have really gotten into Water and we saved a bundle on buying less pop and juice this summer. The freezer is large enough for daily use itens if you have another chest freezer in your home. There are two door pockets that can accomodate 2ea 4L milk jugs. That's 16 liters in the door!!! I had a larger fridge that wouldn't fit 4lt jugs, only american Quart containers. This attractive side by side fit our kitchen cabinet space like a built-in. Features like door Alarm, glass shelves, water and ice dispenser electronic temperature setting arn't available on some units costing over a thousand dollars more! We haven't seen better value in an appliance than this. GE is also very good at standing behind their products. The low price and Quite operation are just bonuses.
