Just fill the filter with 3/4 of coffee grinds. If you fill to the top, you will find that the water and coffee grinds spill out. The water will expand the coffee to over flow. I also found that if you let the coffee grinds cool down in the filter, it was easier to clean out.
I actually find that this kcup works great without any problems with only one slight modification. It is true that i leaked and made a mess, but I put a rubber washer on the top of the lid where there is an indent and it solved the problem and I've never had a mess after that. I find having this kcup worth it and its not hard to put that washer on top. And it does make a strong cup of coffee, just compact it a bit and when you put the lid on it, push the coffee through the hole with a stir stick to keep the hole clear and you will not have any problems and clean keurig machine. I do recommend it
This accessory should never have hit the market. The seal between the coffee maker and the "My K-Cup" doesn't work properly and all the grind come out the top, mess up your coffee maker and go into your cup. There lots of other 3rd party reusable filter k-cups that fit Keurig makers. Get one of those and save yourself the agony.
Works great for your own coffee, Much cheaper than K-cups. One downfall. When the Plastic Tabs that hold the Lid on Give out, You have to replace it, or water/coffee will Spill out of the top when used, You will get Coffee Grinds in your Coffee.. ;( Other than that, Works great.. After 1 year i'm about to buy my 2nd.
I bought a Breville Single serve (made by Keurig) & My K-Cup came with it. My wife want a Timmys every morning, @ $1.75 per extra large it gets expensive. So I buy a can of Tim Hortons course grind in the market & put a measure of coffee in the My K-cup & put it in the Breville & presto you have a Tim Hortons coffee for a fraction of the price about .50 a cup & taste the same. Cleans easily. I figured it out @ one cup of coffee every day with the Breville & the machine paid for itself in 6 months. I plan on buying another one just incase this one breaks. Excellent Product.
