Get This Machine!

This is a great single-serve machine and probably the best one out there. I tried the Tassimo machine and it doesn't even come close to the K40. Hopefully, with the newer Keurig machines coming to market that they find a way to keep this machine in production. I also hope that they continue to make the K-cups for this specific machine.

Keurig Single Serve Coffee Maker is Great

My sister and I gave this to my mother for her birthday. She absolutely loves how easy and fast it is. I like the selection of coffees you can get from various suppliers unlike the "other" coffee machine where you're limited to what they offer. Looks good on the counter too!

Good product!

We've been using it for a month so far, and we like it. You get a coffee in no time, it doesn't take that much space on the counter and a pleasant experience overall.

Does what it is meant to do.

This brewer is great. Does a great job of making single serve coffee. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting it for this purpose. It does a bit troublesome when guests are over and 5-6 cups are needed to be made, but its not too bad.

3 years and...

My first machine is still going strong. Pours a perfect cup. Of coarse with any product there will be duds and bad machines but that is what customer service is for. If your looking for a great machine, I recommend this one

Would not recommend based on my experience

I've had every problem that many others have reported with this Keurig model, and then some... - The refillable system module (sold separately) never worked from Day 1. When used, the machine sprays coffee all over the place, not just in the coffee cup. - Pressing the full cup button often only results in a half cup. - 3rd party K-cups and refillable systems don't work... same problem as with the Keurig refillable system And to top things off, last week in the middle of the night, it turned itself on, heated the water, and sprayed it all over my kitchen counter. By the time I got there all the lights were flashing. It hasn't worked at all since then. I like the concept, but I'm not sure I'd want to replace it. Finally, the K-cups are relatively expensive and there appears to be no competition on K-cup prices among the suppliers. You never find K-cups "on sale" anywhere.

Easy and good tasting coffee

Make good tasting coffee and I do like the fact that you can use your own coffee in a separately purchased coffee filter. Good assortment of coffee flavors available. To bad they did not have anything with a milk to make lattes.

KEURIG single serve coffee maker KUB40

I love this machine ! It works with or without ur own coffee. Also, having 3 choices of cup size is great. I can also just use the hot water feature for cocco or even tea. I would certainly recommend this item to anyone

Love this Keurig!!!

I just enjoy a superb cup of coffee! Absolutely love it! The only way it could be better is if the water reservoir was larger!

Keurig does not stand behind there product

We have 2 Keurig machines, one for the home and one for the cottage. The one for the cottage is used only in summer months on weekends and its a 1 1/2 year old and it went dead. Keurig told us that they couldn't do anything accept to sell us a new one at full retail and the one we use at home we constantly have problems with half cup dispensing. We have 4 members of our family that have Keurig and they also experience problems.

Machine failed after 1 week

Received the Keurig from my sister as a gift. We love the choice of coffee flavours, but the machine only works once in awhile. Cleaning it didn't make any difference. I'm not impressed with the quality of this expensive machine.

Cannot do without it now!

I originally had Tassimo. However, many more flavours and much nicer tasting coffees on the Keurig. Would be nice to have a larger water tank as I consume a lot of coffee..

Bought this while it was online for a birthday gift. Very happy with the results, works fast (plus no waiting in line at Tim's!). Might have to purchase one for myself next. Shipped on time as well.

Awesome brewer, and incredible customer service!

I bought this brewer a little over a year ago. It has been awesome since we got it. However, recently it has started leaking. So I called Keurig and they are replacing it, even though my warranty ended a little while ago. What incredible customer service that is! I highly recommend this brewer, and Keurig absolutely stands behind their product.

Great Coffee

I purchased this for our employees at our farm and was very doubtful on the quality of the coffee or durability of the machine...but have been very pleasantly surprised. Makes great HOT coffee (and I'm a picky coffee drinker) and I know 2 of our staff have went on to buy them for their homes. I love that theres the option to buy the filter not just the k-cups and the hot chocolate is really good too. Any problem I have had has been fixed by cleaning it.....

Quick Fix

This is a great machine, if you buy it with the intent of that quick coffee/tea fix. Having read previous reviews, and the same complains over and over, I wonder how these people treated their machines. Anyone who buys a Keurig must remember that it is a machine that requires maintenance and cleaning. Too many people do not take care of these little gems and then wonder why they spit hot water sideways, or plug up and only give half a cup. I have had one for over a year now, and YES, at times it acts up. Usually, this is because it needs to be cleaned. Treat it well, and it will return the favor with a fine hot cuppa. Hot cocoa is excellent as well!

Great Coffee!

I bought my machine about two months ago. I had read all of the reviews from all sites and discovered that Keurig and Tassimo have problems with their machines. It appears they both act up around the year mark and require service. I debated long before I decided on Keurig because the selection of coffee is very large and growing each month. Starbuks is coming soon! What I did to protect my investment was I bought the extended warranty so I have no worries for two years. It is cost effective and simple. As for the machine I love it. I have not been to Tims in two months and don't miss it. The coffee is consistantly good and there is no mess and little waiting. The machine heats up in less than 3 minutes and brews in 30 seconds. The water is very hot and does not spray as reported by some. I have not bought "my k-cup" as I figure that could get messy and I want simple, good and fast. Three of us use this on a daily basis and I do not exagerate when I say it is the best thing I have bought in years!!!!

What a disappointment

Wanted to buy this for quite some time so was very happy when I received it as a birthday present. Unfortunately it only produces about 2/3s of the supposed volume (rest stays in filter), coffee is luke warm even with preheated cup unless a hot water cycle only is run first, it sometimes spits coffee all around (and I am very careful in placing items correctly into machine). Optional filter does not work at all as some of the water does not go through the filter but runs around the filter and so is just hot water - which if you are lucky makes a weaker coffee or if you are less lucky is spit out beside the cup and the coffee maker - just keep kids away from the machine when making coffee this way!

Very Popular in my Family!

I bought this machine because I LOVE coffee. My ex husband laughed at me and shook his head, as did my mom and dad (because I already have a great standard coffee machine). They all wanted to know how many coffee machines one person needs...until they TRIED the coffee. They were like desperate pathetic children and I ended up buying one for each of them for Fathers Day! Every skeptic turns into a believer after just one cup. The best coffee!! Haven't bought a Tim Horton's since I got it : ) a great investment!

Love it

We bought this about a month ago. We love it. My husband and I get up about 2 hours apart and this works great, we each get a fresh cup of coffee. I also bought the filter so that we can use our own coffee some of the time. Works great, coffee is hot and it is easy to use. The automatic shut-off is a great feature too.

Surprisingly good

I stopped drinking coffee entirely after I stopped working a couple of years ago since I no longer had the desire to drink a half pot at a time. So when my son bought this machine for us as a Christmas present this year, I was skeptical of it's practicality and cost. It only took a few cups of several different coffees from the variety pack that we got with it to be hooked. I now have a single cup of the freshest coffee whenever the urge strikes me. I can easily make a single cup within 2 minutes of turning the machine on in the morning or after dinner, or whenever. No more half-pots with one good cup and two or three old, stale, disgustingly burned-tasting cups. You can also now try different coffees without buying an entire package. In fact, our local coffee store has both boxes of 24 and 18 coffees and single K-Cups of each flavour so you can pay 70 cents for each and bring home a goodie bag of delicious coffees from around the world until you find your favourite. It still beats take out coffee for cost and you can even assuage some middle-class guilt by buying coffes that are certified to contain Fair Trade or Rain Forest Alliance coffee beans. Chef Emeril's "Big Easy Bold" and Newman's Own Bold both contain such beans and are about the best coffees I've ever tried, so find your own and enjoy.

Convenient but expensive if using the Kcups

I've used the unit for only a few days. It's good, but I'm not overly impressed and may end up returning it. Not sure it's worth the money.I did experience a problem with it not releasing the water a few times after I had pressed the button. Still not sure what happened, so that concerns me. The machine does heat up and dispense quickly. The coffee is not but I like it hotter (I add cream), so I end up microwaving it. The cofhees are good, but if you like full bodied ones, you need to either use the small cup and/or go for the bold brews. I like the option to use your own coffee! It's way more economical. The Kcups are convenient but expensive and just add to the landfill. The hot chocolate is not good (apparently the Tassimo one is better). The teas are okay, but it's still way better to brew your own properly (i.e. steeped). I like the option to keep the machine on all day or program it to shut off after 2 hours. That way it's ready to go. The smaller one cup version shuts off every 90 seconds which drove me crazy! The reservoir attachment is a good feature. All in all it's not a bad machine, but I could save the money and keep using my cheap 2-cup coffee maker that makes pretty good coffee.

waste of money

The Keurig (B40) Was a christmas gift so we used it for two days and it stopped working. Only getting a partial cup on either the large or small option. The pump will draw the water into the machine but as soon as you press the brew button the water is pushed back into the resevoir and only a small portion into the cup. I called the 1 800 number and they try a few things that did not help. They are shipping a new model (B45) to me but will take 7 to 10 days. Lots of people complaining on other sites, beware and do your homework before making a dicision to buy.

I'm happy with the Keurig.

Have only used the Keurig for 1 week and I'm very pleased with the unit so far. Makes about the best coffee/tea/hot chocolate brews I have ever tasted. The selection of coffee and tea is outstanding and you are bound to find several you just can't do without. Hopefully I won't experience any failures with the coffee maker as some have reported.

Don't waste your money!

We bought this coffee maker for Christmas because I was having 1 cup of coffee a day and my husband was having 1 cup of tea, maybe once a week. At first, the machine worked great! All the reviews I read added up to how we felt. But then, the machine stopped working. You press the button - NOTHING. You press it again, it makes 1/2 a cup. You press it a 3rd time, the lights flash and plain water comes out. Press it a 4th time, and FINALLY the coffee comes out! It's ridiculous! We've since returned it and found out that SO MANY machines are being returned and this particular model is being discontinued due to the exact same problem we're having. Don't waste your money - spend a few $$ more and go with Bosch!!

Very convenient

I also bought this product for some of the reasons already mentioned, I only drink 1 C a coffee a day and my spouse doesn't drink any coffee/tea. Buying kcups means the beans are always fresh, my husband, if he ever was so inclined could actually make me a cup. Plus, with 2 young kids circling my feet like piranha (or on my hip), I can make my morning cup using just one hand! 3 other things I love, the plethora of flavors of tea and coffee, that I can use my own beans if I so choose with the adapter, that it always tastes good cause for some reason I can't measure beans out consistently. The product does boast that there is no flavor transfer between coffee and tea, I disagree. I made a flavored coffee one day and a regular cup the next and I could still taste the flavor. Also, one day I made a coffee for someone and then a tea for someone else, the 2nd person said she could taste the coffee in her tea.

Good coffee, ok prices

I bought this coffee maker as my spouse is a non-drinker, and making a huge pot of coffee for myself is overkill. Just how much do I like my coffee Enough to purchase and roast green beans. This machine is big. It's easily a larger footprint than my previous Krups 12 cup maker, this could be an issue for those of you with limited counter space. The ability to use your own coffee via a refillable filter is what sold me on the unit. You can't do this with a Bosch Tassimo. Some of you might buy it for the freshness of the pre-packaged coffee, but let's be honest, the prices of coffee for these units are not overly economical - this is a luxury goods item.tip Emils bold coffee is really good.Water heats up quick, and coffee can be made in a matter of minutes with this no-fuss, no-muss maker. It's perfect for someone like me, who needs a cup before an early morning -10c run. This is a perfect little unit for those of us who need an occasional caffeine fix - quickly. Recommended.

Excellent Machine

Bought this machine during the holiday season and had some concerns about how hot the coffee tea hot chocolate would actually be and how noisy the machine would be. Well let me tell you the drink are so nice and hot that you can't even hold your coffee cup or mug in your hand. You have to hold it by the handle. Coffee quality relies heavily on the brewing heat and this machine makes a great coffee - tea and hot chocolate. Not very noisy and pretty much the same size as a standard coffee machine. Great machine - would recommend to anybody for themselves or as a gift.

Excellent Coffee

Bought this over the Tassimo and was more than happy.I dont need to make a pot of coffee since i only drink 1 cup per day at a maximum. This unit is perfect for someone on the go or if you need a cup of joe quickly.Tons of choices for coffee and if you buy the K-cup filter you can brew your own coffee and tea.I found it more quiet than the Tassimo and its a bit quicker too. Simple to operate and great for the new coffee drinker. But the K-cups in bulk to help save over the long haul. Works out to about 60 cents per cup of coffee.
