We returned this product, it was not we were hoping for. Does not mean that this is a bad product.

Awesome! great quality, fun to use

This atatchment is awesome! I use it for so many different veggies, makes scalloped potatoes an ease. I never had a rust problem. But I have cleaned the attachment as soon as I'm done with it. I definitely recommend if you cook often with veggies. Worse amazing on cheeses too

Glad I didn't pay full price

I didn't have the rusting problems others have had, but agree that slices come out pretty uneven, or as a mush, depending. I did have better success on low speed ("mix"), as opposed to Speed 4 suggested by the user guide. It also helps to push food through firmly and one item at a time, which gives more control than just filling the hopper to the brim. Some food did get stuck between the hopper and the blade, but, to be fair, I have also had this problem with other food processors. I probably would have returned it if it hadn't been substantially discounted and paid for with gift cards. The most frustrating part for me is that the blades are nearly impossible to remove from the shaft so I constantly have to ask my husband to do it for me. Overall, the slicer is convenient for large quantities where appearances don't matter much (pounds of shredded carrots for cake, e.g.), but stick with a good kitchen knife for smaller every day tasks.

Great Product!

I love this attachment for my mixer! Good quality, easy to use, easy to clean! Also Future shop by far had the best price when I was shopping around for it.

kitchenaid rotoslicer

This is a great product. With the quality of Kitchenaid it is definitely a must if you already have the stand mixer.

Slices irregular sizes

Used the slicer on some fresh cucumbers, and they all came out different thicknesses. Some were thicker on one end, and thinner on the other end. Some were just mushed up. Don't expect picture perfect slices. The cheese grater is nice and easy... that only makes it worthwhile for me.

Handy to have

I used the shredder/slicer a few times. Like all new gadgets/appliances it needs adaptations. It has been used and washed and so far no rust issues. I do not put it in the dishwasher. I rinse it immediately after use and wash it later and make sure it is properly dry before I store it. As for the food being between the shredder/slicer and the housing, I've had the same issue with a food processer et other similar gadgets.

Not worth the money

The shredder works more like a mulcher. A food processor with a shredder does a better job with clean shredding. Same with the slicing attachments. Most of the food gets jammed in between the shredder and housing and has to be cleaned out regularly. Not worth getting.

Bad

Don't buy. The metal parts are not in stainless, they make rust (first time use) and i got a lot of verdigris into my cheese. I don't know how you can produce something bad like this. I'll buy one in ceramic, or in stainless steel. Be careful!
