Great speaker for money!

I am very impressed with the overall performance of these speakers. These are a well balanced speaker, that provides you with quality sound, ranging from all frequencies, from low's to mid's to highs, for an affordable price that doesn't break the bank. These can be used in any application, surround or just front channel. I am powering these with [...] receiver, and I got to tell you that these suckers can pound hard, with minimal distortion at high levels. Very clean speaker. I would definitely recommend. Wait for these to go on sale and grab them, don't even think about it, just do it and hammer down...........

Worth every penny!!!!

I've had mine for about a year now and i'm still amazed by sound quality even with volume maxed out at 73.. Bass is great for a ported floor tower.. The only complaint I've heard from others is the harsh or bright tweeters.. After a little break in though all is gd. I've owned alot of diff speakers over the years and these are best bang for the buck by far.. Highly recommend any Klipsch speaker as i have 6 now..

Not worth the price.

I bought a pair of these speakers last year and I could not wait to get rid of them. What I don't like about these speakers is how they can't seem to do anything properly. Vocals and dialogue never sound convincing and there's always a slight harshness to voices, the midrange in general on these towers is really lackluster. The bass isn't very defined and since this speaker is a 2-way design the bass will tend to distort the midrange. At loud volumes the horns really start to fatigue your ears and I could never watch a whole movie at reference levels. Imaging isn't all that great either. What I do like about this speaker is the fit 'n finish seems pretty high quality, the bass/midrange drivers look fantastic (can't get enough of that copper colour). These speakers will play very loud without that much power so matching these speakers to a receiver is very, very easy. All-in-all if you're someone who enjoys great sonic reproduction and considers themselves an audiophile look elsewhere, if you just want some loud, sturdy speakers these should fit the bill nicely.

Jaw dropping sound!

When broken in, the sound is impeccable. I power them with a Marantz amp. Best speakers I've ever owned. Thanks Klipsch!

So awesome. I have a pair of these running off my denon 3313ci. I also have 5 other speakers ( not all klipsch, 4 towers, one center) hooked up and when I run all 7 at once the amp doesn't get too hot. But when I run just the 2 klipsch 800 it's perfect. So loud and clear. I wish I had more !!!

Music Lover via Quality products

Amazing sound staging with these speakers. You can hear level of detail like no other. Bit pricey but totally worth it when on promo and sale. Build quality, looks and most importantly sonically just a masterpiece. I have thrown all kinds of genre at these pups and they have blown me away. Stop reading this and go get a pair!!!

special crossover for highs

works as enhancer around 8 kHz. C1= 1.5mF, C 2 = 8 mF, L = 0.5mH. Unusual design found only in Klipsch. Inductor has iron core and gives "warm" (saturated and hysteresis) sound, needs to be replaced. Impendence is 4, not 8 ohms as in specs. It fools listeners hearing more sensitive as true 8 ohm speakers. So, u need low impendence amp.

The sound is crisp with a lot of details. I already bought Energy, Polk, Paradigm speaker and this Klipsch is my best. For the music, for home theather the Klipsch RF series is definitly a good choice, you won't be disapointed

Klipsch rf-800

I'd have to say they are awesome. Great sound quality. they also go really loud. I was a little confused when I set them up since the towers didn't have any bass coming out of them. To fix this I changed the audyssey eq on my receiver to bypass front left and right so they get full frequency. What a difference. They have great low end presence.

Nice towers, great sound.

Finally upgraded from a Home Theatre in a Box. Wow! It is like hearing my albums for the first time. I am hearing things I have never heard before. The detail in sound is amazing. It is like having the band in the room with me. The lows are strong and the highs are crystal clear. I have bi-wired from the Zone 2 output to get the full potential of these towers. Receiver is Yamaha RX-1073. Sub is the Klipsch 10", will eventually add another since this a 7.2 system and to balance it off in the back. If you listen to music, I recommend these towers.

awesome speakers

picked up the rf 800's, ihad these speakers go head to head aganst the polks and energy speakers. i went through at least 7 to 8 other speakers and by far they kicked all their butts. I have mine hooked up to a pioneer 9.2 elite d-class receiver and they sound awesome. picked up the 12'' inch sub. They just go hand inhand like a perfect couple.

Just picked up a full set of Klipsch on sale (including the RF800Bs). Just the sound I always wanted. I'm running them through an Onkyo NR818 receiver and the sound is crisp, clean and very powerful. 5 stars!

Good Tower, Great Price

I picked up a pair of the RF800's during the boxing week period and the price was spectacular. The speakers themselves are still being worked in, initially they pack quite a punch. Lows are very good, mid are good, the highs are clear/crisp. I have never experienced a horn based tweeter set-up before, and I am impressed with the total sound stage of the speaker. I never had Klipsch on my radar before, these RF800's have made a believer out of me.

Enjoyable experience

Just over a month a go I was look for a pair of tower speakers and listened to few models that fell within my price range (Klipsch, Polk, Energy, Paradigm, KEF). Each set of towers had their strengths and some had weakness, nonetheless the RF800's truly excelled above the competition in listening experience, clarity, depth, appearance, and construction. I am slowly working them in and look forward to their extensive use within my home theater. A great value for the wonderful performance they offer.

Not bad

It was hard to get information about the RF800 because they are only sold in Canada. According to Klipsch, they are acoustically similar to the older reference series. For the price paid i can't complain but at full retail price you should get the 5th generation reference RF-82 II. The main weakness about these speakers is cabinet construction, they need better internal bracing for the power and bass they can output. I bought them as entertainment speakers for when family and friends come over, i don't want kids around my audiophile equipment. People like how they look and sound so i am happy.

Excellent Speaker

Picked up 2 for the L/R channels and am very happy with the performance of these speakers. At a sitting distance of approx 14feet away they sound very smooth and punchy when appropriate. Sitting closer than 6feet from them I find you get an odd sound distortion between the mid and horn, more specific one drowns out the other due to the physical separation they have on the cabinet. I am sure this is apparent with most floor standers... but going from book self RB61's from klipsch it was a noticable difference worth trying to explain. I only have a harmon kardon 55watt per channel reciever and yet these speakers still sound great. They are super sensative and slightly drown out my polk audio center. Just goes to proove the awesomeness of these speakers. :) Polk speaker are not very sensative.

Nice sounds

Bought recently and was a little sad about the price I paid, but when fully connected and actually experienced the clarity of sound these speakers can produce, I was shocked. just looking to get the sub along with eventually.

Just picked up

Wow, I just got these and I'm running them through my Denon 1913 receiver and I love music all over again...breaking them in and watching movies is fantastic. The clarity is substantial and not muddled. They can also deliver bass you don't usually find with towers but muddy which would make them sound "cheaper." The sound is truly fantastic for movies OR music. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Opened my eyes

My view of klipsch has changed!!!! Out of the box these speakers are real eye openers. Ive had Polk Rti 12's then upgrade to Polk lsim 703's. I will say the 703's are an amazing speaker. Comparing them to the klipsch speaker is at total different ends of the rainbow. Where the 703,'s are the most clear speaker I have ever heard. The klipsch speaker are all about being able to rock the entire block. Although there not bad at clarity these things can take all I can throw at them and never miss a beat. Pumping 400 true watts into them ---- they sing loud!!!! Bass for two 8" subs is amazing. A separate sub is not needed. Reports of them being " bright" is not present in them when properly setup. Would highly recommend these speakers to anyone.

New is better

I had the RF82 II,damaged by the mover, they were great for home theater only. Not very musical, hard to listen to for a long period of time. The RF 800 B has changed all of that. The tweeter is so much smoother right out of the box & bass response is great for a speaker designed to work with a sub. Right now breaking the in with an Akai PS200M power amp through my vintage system & loving how they sound compared to my old Energy Pro 22`s Might have to get another set for the vintage system, they just sound great from jazz to rock.

have a pair of these for a few days now, and they are amazing. My kids were commenting on how amazing the bass was from our 10" sub, but then we noticed that the sub wasn't connected right, and wasn't even on! these speakers were doing it all! love 'em.
