OK headphones

In my piece there was a hisss noise in the background. Built quality is solid. But makes the ears so hot within 5 min.

Quality Headphones

I purchased these in part because of the reviews and in part because of the looks. The build quality seems excellent and having a replaceable cable is great so you don't have to replace the entire unit if the cord or plug breaks. Sounds is also quite good. My last headphones were Grado SR 80i and these are definitely in the same range of quality for sound and I'd say the build quality and materials used are much better (far less plastic on the Marleys). The fit can be a bit tight if used for a long time, but for my 30 minute commute they are comfortable. Overall I would recommend these for the price.

great sound, horrible comfort

These sound great, but are very uncomfortable. Since they fight so tight and snug, it effectively isolates outside sound and creates great sound, but it also pinches the head and ears. they are unbearable if you wear glasses. overall, I would not recommend these because although they sound great, the uncomfortable fit factor does not allow you to enjoy the sound. i also don't think i have an over-sized head or anything like that.

I really like my new Marley Stir It Up headphones. Not just for their good looking and build quality, but most important, for their sound. To me their sound are as good as other high-end headphones such as Sennehiser HD650 and Grado RS1 (sound more like Grado to me), only difference is Stir It Up don't need a headphone amplifier, but other high-end headphones usually require one in order to show their full potential, which makes them not as portable as Stir It Up. FYI, my Stir It Up is driven by my Sony MP3 player with albums downloaded from iMesh ToGo subscription. Many people have agreed bass is the best part of Stir It Up, but indeed their mid and treble are quite impressive as well. They sound so good and so real that they can make you close your eyes and tap your toes. Just few things I want to bring them up: 1. Like other high-end speakers and headphones, brand new Stir It Up headphones require a proper break-in period to settle down the sound and to achieve their full potential. Mine took 10 days' usage. 2. The headbands are too tight for adults. I almost wanted to return them when I first got them. But I was able to fix the problem by bending both sides slowly, although I think I heard a small crack sound before I stopped, but problem solved. Now they still feel comfortable after hours wearing.

i got these during Christmas, and all i can say is that it is amazing. the box was easy to open, unlike some headphones where you have to tear apart the packaging with a pair of scissors. these came in an actual box. anyways, as soon as i put them on, i did notice some slight discomfort because the pressure was too much. I listened to some music with them and the sound was pretty darn good. the bass isn't overbearing and doesn't overlap the mid and highs. however, turned up at full volume, the treble was too much, it hurt my ears. this can be solved by turning the treble down in eq settings. i was considering the solo beats, but everything is identical, and the marleys have better sound, better noise isolation, lower leakage, and much much better build quality. so, overall, these are amazing for a casual listener, but if you are going to use these for more than 2 hours, maybe not because these do get uncomfortable later.
