Nice sub for a small to medium room

I bought this subwoofer to match my Martin Logan ESL front speakers. The sub has a very nice finish, it sounds great in my living room. However, when placed next to my front speakers, it is not big enough for my basement which is wide open space. I did notice that there is occasional interference with the wireless transmitter which translated in noise that could be heard when the music was not playing. The ability to move the sub around is a big plus for me. You can place it close to the listening position which will guarantee a lot of bass. The transmitter should be away from other electronics. Overall I recommend this sub.

In the Pocket

Superb quality & finish, Top notch components and accessories. This unit was integrated into HiFi using a Yamaha RX-A Series AV Receiver & Tannoy NFM-8' bookshelf fronts. After break-in and crossover tuning the soundscape is very smooth, with low-end frequencies revealing aural and physical effects previously unheard in the system. I will soon order the Motion 6 centre and 2 series surrounds to create a 5.1 system.

ML Fan for life

ML is a great company providing an OUTSTANDING product. This is my first Martin Logan product and I am extremely pleased with the performance, flexibility in configuration and build quality. A 10" driver in a tiny sealed enclosure that is dynamic, responsive and ridiculously accurate for music and movies?!? This is a dream speaker that intergrates seemlessly with my 9 NHT iW4 in-wall speakers. My only complaint is that due to the size of my room and furniture placement I have one little dead zone. It's not the Dynamo's fault, its mine for not buying two of them. Lousy physics and harmonic wave dispersion :-P

Worth it

If you're looking at this subwoofer then you're already on the right track. I truly did not know what 'accurate' or 'clarity' meant before hearing this! The sealed box, extremely small size, and down firing configuration paired with exception power make this a sub worthy of the name. It is more than capable in a home theatre set up, but its technical skill really shines in music. Theres not a hint of 'boom' or distortion, both of which I thought I had no choice but to put up with. The Dynamo 300 and 500 are both very good subwoofers as well but there is no comparison. Currently using the Dynamo 700 with Martin Logan Motion 12 fronts, Motion 10 surrounds, and Martin Logan Encore centre channel. Don't hesitate if you see it on sale.
