Not everyone will survive. An ancient alien race, known only as "Reapers", has launched an all-out invasion leaving nothing but a trail of destruction in their wake. Earth has been taken, the galaxy is on the verge of total annihilation, and you are the only one who can stop them. The price of failure is extinction.

More Information

You are Commander Shepard, a character that you can forge in your own image. You determine how events will play out, which planets to explore, and whom to form alliances with as you rally a force to eliminate the Reaper threat once and for all. How you wage this war is completely up to you: go into combat with guns blazing or use cover to plan a more tactical assault. Utilize your squad to full effect or take a lone wolf approach. Rain death from a distance or go toe - to-toe with enemies using devastating melee attacks. Mass Effect 3 will react to each decision you make as you play through a truly unique experience of your own creation.

True Gamers Game.*** Best ever***

If you have played games for any length of time you will know that this series (3 games) are the best there is. It's up there with Star Wars and the Matrix trilogies. On so many levels.

Very solid game, more customization

Mass Effect 2 was a bit of a let down for me: the "cover" based combat, the limited customization options available, and the sometimes lifeless quests all added up to a somewhat disappointing play through. Luckily, though, the story kept me hooked. In Mass Effect 3, the game is more polished, the quests more meaningful with much more important consequences when it comes to decision making and the customization much more enjoyable. You have many more options for upgrading your weapons (and many more types of weapons available), you can can optomize your squad's loadout for specific foes and missions, and the power upgrade system gives you many more options. The DLC available also really improves the overall game play. I've yet to try multiplayer as I play this series mostly for the story, but I've heard it's mediocre. As a single player oriented game, Mass Effect 3 is a great story and enjoyable game. It isn't a world beater, or a life changer, and many will give it bad reviews because of the hype leading to it (ala Halo) but for most PC gamers, it should be a must have for the library.

Most of the game was quite fun, the gameplay was smooth, plot lines were tied up. Although it was a bit more linear, I felt that this gave it a sense of urgency. However, the last ten minutes were horrible. I would wait for this game to go on sale, and buy it to enjoy the 99% of the game that was great, but skip the ending cutscenes.

No reason to play this

If you liked the other Mass Effects you probably won't be too impressed with this. No difference in graphics or game play. Commerce and weapons are the worst they have been. The weapons I had at the start were the ones I kept at the end and not because they powered up any, just because there is terrible and little selection. Same with Armor. The RPG portion of the game is the worst is has been. Very little choice and of those the skills are not improved at all. The same things doing next to nothing. The largest thing is that the game moved away from its big successes. It use to have choices and a large selection of missions. You use to be able to converse with almost anyone and the missions were well thought out and part of the story. They seemed to drop all that and I bought the downloadable content too. You can talk to almost no one. The missions are obvious (map tells you where to go in places like the citadel). Most quests you get just by walking by people, they don't even bother programming in a conversation. Same with your crew, conversations rarely have the cut scenes the other 2 games had. They bring all the characters back but that is the only real development you do. All this makes the game really quick. I finished it in less than a week and I only played a few hours a night. The thing that took time was the almost MMO feel to some of it. The monotony of having to run in slow motion for a couple minutes for no reason... things like that. It is almost like they made the end of the last game a little bit longer and tried to sell it for more money. Spoiler**** to save you time - as in all version the ending gives you choices. Pick whatever you want. The cutscences differ by color of one light really. Everything else is the same. You basically get to think about it in your mind. But when you see the ending, you will see it only actually works for 1 choice but they just used it for all 3. But don't waste your time going back and doing the 20 minute non skippable pre ending.***

One of the GREATEST games!!

Definitely worth buying if you havent. and if u havent played ME1 or 2 you can still play and enjoy this, or play the old ones first. Multiplayer is a great new addition. currently theres no PVP and its horde mode but its extremely fun. Easy for anyone to pick up and play you dont need to have a pro gaming PC as this game is REALLY well optimized and doesnt require much GPU power (as opposed to games like Crysis 1 or Battlefield 3) and still has great graphics. Shipping was extremely fast. Pre ordered and got it on release date at 1pm. RECOMMENDED!!!!
