Panasonic is junk

Bought this microwave 1 year and 3 mounths ago and it failed. Sent it for repair but it would cost more than a new one to repair.

Very user friendly

I had purchased this product November 2006 and have used it daily ever since. Recently it stopped working after about 10 seconds of cooking. At this time I made the decision to purchase a new microwave instead of repairing this one. The same model was advertised on the boxing week sale at Future Shop, so I purchased it again. I figured that I had six years of trouble free microwaving the first time and I was also happy with the performance and user friendliness. So I would rate this product very good, just wish it would last longer.

Awful

Had this unit 10 months before smoke started billowing out of the bottom. Apparently this means the magnatron is gone, which has a 5 year warranty. 5 calls to Panasonic and one week later, I was able to return it for a replacement. Installed the second unit and after 2 days and 2 minutes of use it now hums every time it is plugged in. We are affraid to leave it plugged in while we are out. Save your money...buy something else. This microwave is awful.

Piece of Junk

I have purchased many Panasonic products in my life (other microwaves, plasma TV) and this unit is a piece of junk. The main fuse or inverter went three times at which time Panasonic was nice enough to offer me a refund. I used my 8yr old Panasonic table top as a back-up for the 2 MONTHS this unit was in the shop. Avoid this unit like the plague!
