VSX 1027-K

I bought one of these. It is not the quality of the high end Sony I replaced BUT it has HDMI switching capeability and works with iphone. I think it will work out quite well as a sound system for the ProjectorTV viewing. The downside is it took quite a bit of time to set it up as the instructions are a bit difficult to follow. The output I have is to an Epson projector which will not accept signals over 1080i and the default output of the reciever is 1080p. It took awhile to resolve that glitch and get to on screen menus to set up the audio. It came with a set up CD and the manual was included on it. I had to print the manual out and study it.

Very Happy

I upgraded from a Sony amp and couldn't be happier. Sound quality, power, and features are incomparable. The built-in Airplay and control app are some of the best features. I'm not sure why it says 7.1 here and on the Pioneer website, cause it's actually 7.2. I would definitely recommend this receiver. Great value when it's on sale.
