hardware issue.

i love the vita. great console. but i have problem. *start and select buttons - hard to press cause they're so small. *dark spots. - i also have problem in the screen. when i play the vita in dark place and when the screen goes black, but still on, some darker spots become visible. it annoys me. i change that vita to a better one but i still have does spots. just smaller. *social network sites selection - i like how they want to have social interaction but some people don't have account in those social sites. i'm one of them. i don't have twiiter account . so it's annoying to have it on the selections, especially on the browser. maybe change it to refresh button. that is useful.

amazing

the vita is one amazing portable power house. the only let down is the battery life. any high graphic games will drain the battery in know time. other then that its just like the ps3 in the palm of your hands, with Features that are better then what the ps3 has to offer. the vita is a must have, But I still give it 5 stars even with the crappy battery life 5 is what this amazing unit Deserves

Thumbs Down

I bought the original PSP 8lyears ago and unfortunately I have to say this new PSP doesn't match up to the standards of the original PSP. I am 19 years old and I must also conclude that the new OS is not user friendly at all and cannot possibly compare to the original xcross media bar. Im sorry but Sony made a big boo boo like they did with the PSP Go...Try again Sony

Fantastic handheld console.

The graphics are superb, and the console feels great. I was happy with the battery life, and highly recommend it. Don't forget that you must also purchase system memory separately from the console to make it usable.

the Handheld console you've been waiting for

While being a techno geek... But being a family guy with 2 kids, I don't make big ($200 or more) purchases often. I was lucky enough to win an I-pod touch... my blackberry is a work provided phone.. so the PS Vita was my 1st big purchase I've made since I got my near launch PS3 (80 gig console that was $500 at the time). I've looked at I-pad's and tablets and other handheld consoles and said... eventually... but not now. After buying the Vita yesterday, to put it simply, it was well worth the wait. I'm going to go into some detail on all it's points but if this is TLDR (too long didn't read) just know it's GREAT. If you love to have gaming and media in one place, go get it NOW! Ok.. let's dive in. 1st... the system is a nice sized, good weight (solidly built), the buttons, thumb sticks, rear and front touch control all worked great. On the touch control I HAVE to say, this is the most responsive and smooth touch screen I've ever seen on a none Apple device. It is easily as slick, smooth and even maybe a touch more responsive than my I-pod touch. 2nd... the screen is gorgeous... I don't mean hey it's bright and pretty... it's freakin' gorgeous. I've never seen a screen this size, this nice on ANYTHING. When I looked up it's specs, it's a 5" OLED screen capable of 16 million colors. No sign of any pixelation which is impressive for a device you look at so closely. Makes me want to protect it dearly and I have to get a screen protector on this (this was my only "Fail" in my whole process was trying to get the protector in the Start up kit to go on.. but I digress). You can adjust the brightness to your liking and this made ordinary video's "pop" and the game visuals are stunning. 3rd... The interface took a bit to get used too but is fairly intuitive. Your "apps" and games and tools all are in round bubbles on the screen and once you have a screen full it starts another screen of them below and you can quickly scroll up or down between pages of bubbles. When you have an app, or interface or game open, it stays open on a page. You can scroll left and right to see what you have open. Turning the page down from the top right corner to close any of those "pages" and the related tool or game you have open. 4th... the functionality. Ok, this is where things get nuts. I'll be honest... I had only a skimming background on this device and what I had read on gaming news sites and never really dived into everything this bad boy could do... I still may not now everything but from when I turned it on at 8pm when my kids went to bed until I forced myself to go to bed a little after midnight, I was still finding cool stuff. Obviously there are games. They are a review all unto themselves... but on top of the Vita games made for the system (and there are some cool free ones on the PSN), it will also play over 250 psp games, cross play with the PS3 and remote play. Remote play for game is still very limited, Sony is saying more is on the way, but it's very cool. Remote play is kind of crazy to me because it's basically running a game on your PS3 and showing up on the Vita. Even if your PS3 is at home and you are somewhere else. I also didn't realize that all the videos I watch on my PS3, that are on it's hard drives, are all accessible by the Vita. So if my wife wants to watch Iron chef, I can pop on my Vita and access my PS3 remotely for games AND videos. You can also run Netflix, have a front and rear camera for picture & video, upload pictures and music. Music can be running while your doing all your other stuff or even become the alternate soundtracks to your games.... or just listen as you browse the internet, use Flickr or any of the other apps. 5th and finally, the games. While you CAN and do have access to the simple casual games, this is the 1st handheld system to through full Uncharted or Stardust graphics at you. I've really only skimmed the games so far (Uncharted demo
