Works great, and for a super price!

This does everything I need a USB flash drive to do for me. I have no complaints.

Stopped Working After 2 Months

Would not recommend buying this product. First few times it worked okay. After that you had to keep reinserting it a bunch of times just to get the computer to recognize it. Slowly this problem got worse until it finally died. Would have returned it but my data is on it and I couldn't access it to reformat the drive. I won't be buying anymore products from this manufacturer.

Works great - design could be improved

Fantastic size, happy with the quality vs. the money spent. As with many other reviewers, the case is ridiculously difficult to slide. I'm an athletic guy and I'm struggling with it. If you are going to be traveling with the key a lot, you may want to think twice about that one hiccup - but if it generally stays put like mine (which is essentially an additional drive for me!), it's golden.

Excellent

The speed is awesome if you have USB 3.0. 128GB is plenty for any files or movies. The only thing I don't like is the cover mechanism on the USB tip. It feels cheap and not easy to open. Other than that this USB is excellent. PNY products are always great, never had any issues with this brand.

Works great, can't complain

There's a lot of space, so I'm able to use it for a variety of purposes, like storing data, using it as a Linux Live CD, storing large files/movies, etc.

Buy it.

My unexpected Boxing Day splurge was my best purchase. My second USB 3.0 stick to replace my 64G stick that died. Better construction than my first 3.0 stick. Currently stores greater than 100GB of reference files I carry with me. It does the job. Up to 21MB/sec transfer speeds through USB 2.0 (not sitting at my USB 3.0 computer)

Awesome Capacity

I was looking for a good boxing day special on a 64GB stick and found this instead. Excellent speed, decent quality, Awesome capacity. Works well in USB 2.0 and is blistering fast in a USB 3.0 port.

PNY 128GB USB 3.0 Drive

I am very pleased with this drive, it's super fast and efficient. Even transfers files quickly in a 2.0 port, around 30Mb/sec average. Where it really performs is in the 3.0 port where it transfers data at a whopping 50Mb/sec and I've even seen it transfer data up to 100Mb/sec. It may not be the prettiest drive on the block......but this little unit performs great!! I would recommend this drive with a 5 Star rating..........

Fast with usb3 ports

Had it about three weeks, works very fast with my mac mini usb3 connections, much faster than usb2 for my last flash drive. No problems so far. I have four complete tv series and 15 movies on it and there is still room.

Excellent Drive

I was hesitant to buy this because of the low price point, but I'm glad I did! It's very fast, write speeds of over 100MB/s and reads even faster. I use it daily and I've had no problems with it. I especially like the sliding cap, it works well and you don't have to worry about losing it. I ended up buying a second one the next time it was on sale.

Great

make sure you have 3.0 USB ports on your PC to get the faster speeds, but still works great as USB 2.0

great budget item

I bought this online based on the price point alone. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and it has been performing as it should. As long as it has a long life span, I will consider this a good buy for this price point

Big and FAST

Despite reviews on the net saying that it was exFAT and capable of storing larger files, mine came formatted FAT32 and thus files bigger that 4GB did not work. Transfer rates were fantastic however - in the 130MB/s range. I formatted it NTFS and now speeds are approx. 100MB/s and I can copy files greater than 4GB easily. Highly recommended!

This drive has a huge amount of storage, is very well designed, is incredibly fast and at the price of sale on Boxing Day, was a complete steal.

Dont'tbuy it

I bought this USB drive on boxing day. Its write speed is 16 MB/s and its read speed is about 28 MB/s... Almost on par with my old USB 2.0 drive I have used for 4 years. I'd not recommend it to anyone.

Wildly inconsistent speeds

While the speed rating is 130 MB/s write, I found this didn't always hold true. Whether it was transferring the same large file multiple times or running through ATTO benchmark, the performance would vary each time I tested. Regardless, the slowest it ever seemed to drop to was about 65 or 70 MB/s (I can't recall exactly). Read speeds are very fast as well, but again inconsistent. However, I could not achieve the advertised 190 MB/s transferring a 5 GB file to my SSD. It averaged about 130 MB/s read. When it's on sale for $[...], it's an absolute steal. I paid [almost the same price] a couple months ago for a 64 GB drive with similar speeds!

Big, Fast, no good for Linux ext2/ext3/ext4

Big -- lots of space in 128GB! Fast -- Really! reads at 150+MBytes/sec, writes at 120-130MBytes/sec under FAT32, EXFAT, Linux XFS, and HFS+. Slower (27-58MBytes/sec) with NTFS-3g from Linux, and snail's pace with Linux ext2/ext3/ext4 filesystems. But XFS from Linux works fine.

good buy

with media files, transfer rate was 100 MB/S and read was 180 MB/S . Great deal for this speed.

This thing is fast.

I get 198.5 MB/s read and 135.2MB/s write speeds with Crystalmark on USB 3.0 port. Even on USB 2.0 this thing is fast, most of my USB sticks get 10MB/s write but this stick is doing 27.5MB/s write on a USB 2.0 port. The slide thing that protects the USB plug is quite stiff, but I like that as will not accidentally open in my pocket.

This thing is fast.

Hard to beat, USB 3.0 128GB for $50. Tested several time with Crystalmark and averaged 198.5 MBs read and 135.2 MBs write. I have a Sony 16GB 3.0 that only does 90/30 R/W. Also even on a USB 2.0 port this thing is quit a bit faster than a USB 2.0 stick, most of my usb 2.0 stick write around 10MB/2 and this one will write at 27.5MB/s.

FAT32/EXFAT only

The controller on this stick is hardwired for FAT32 and/or EXFAT filesystems only. Write performance is excellent (~108MBytes/sec) with either of those, and MUCH slower with NTFS (27MBytes/sec, or 54MBytes/sec with 64KB clustersize). And even slower for Linux filesystems such as ext2 or ext4 (very very slow). Read performance appears to be excellent regardless.
