How it works. See video.

The Universal Wireless Rear Speaker Kit uses a proprietary 2.4GHz wireless communication system to transmit low-latency, high fidelity audio to a stereo amplifier, providing a superior level of audio quality and resistance to interference.

More Information

The system simply consists of a sender and a receiver. Without the hassle of long cable connections, the sender connects to an amplifier and transmits audio to the receiver. Meanwhile, the receiver connects to two surround speakers and outputs the audio from the sender.

Works as advertised

Very surprised at quality and ease of setup, did quite a bit of research and with these you either love 'em or hate 'em. I suspect the people experiencing issues are running multiple devices in their home network via the Wireless 2.4 spectrum as I live in a downtown apartment with lots of wireless neighbours and do not experience any issues. My home network is 5 GHz. These are not for audiophiles but are more than good enough for the avid 5.1 - 7.1 Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray types. Cons - If you want 7.1 you do have to buy 2 units as each only connects one set of speakers but sender/receiver are paired at the factory and odds of overlap are extremely minimal. You could always exchange the second kit for a different unit with different code in that case. You cannot change the code and it would be cheaper to buy a second receiver for 7.1 if you could control that function. **Plug the wireless receiver it into a surge protector and the sender into the back of your HDTV Receiver, which should be on a surge protector anyway. It will save you having to power on the sender each time you watch TV. The receiver still needs to be manually powered on.

Cuts out way too much.

This thing is super easy to use and set up but I frequently get short drop outs and clicks/pop and other audio artifacts. I've tried moving the sender and receiver all over the place to fix this with no luck. It is incredibly annoying, I would not buy this again or recommend it to anyone.

Works for me

Just bought this and think it's fantastic. I'm using to run Zone B for the speakers around my house and it works great rather than trying to run 150ft of speaker wire from my amp to the switch. Would be nice if it came with 4 pieces of 2 foot wire rather than just 2, but if you were using it for the surround in your home theater you probably have the wire anyways so wouldn't be an issue.

Great when it works

The product is pretty good aside from one flaw I will get to that later. The unit provides decent audio to your surround sound speakers, and I never noticed any popping or crackles. It's super easy to setup too. The downsides -Whenever it turns off, it goes into standby mode, which I think is silly. Who would actually want to turn it off at any time-the flaw the fuse soldered directly to the board. This is mostly like the problem that someone else mentioned of it not powering on. Some genius thought it would be great idea to solder a fuse directly instead of having a snap in and out fuse. Once the fuse goes, the thing wont turn on. So unless you have to have it plugged into a surge protector, but who does that from something that is remote Since I'm cheap and know engineer grads, I will have a new fuse soldered in and replace the blown capacitor on the power intake. If that fails, I might just buy it again. It's nice not having wires go all around the house.

Not impressed

I had 2 problems with this unit...1 It *pops* every now and then.. no specific pattern with the timing.2 It was working fine last night. Came home today to watch some Olympics after work.. and the receiver is completely dead. Doesn't power on in multiple plugs, but lamps and other items plug in so it's not a power problem. Best part of this... I have not yet even had it 3 weeks.Returning this tomorrow and NOT getting a replacement.
