Time Lag Using Remote

There's a 5-10 second lag when scrolling through channels with the remote. Very frustrating.

Please do not buy this unit

Dear Rogers customers, Please stay away from this unit as far as possible. I have two such units and they are both working as bad, with no difference. First of all, if you re-boot the unit the time required by the unit to recover all the channels is around 22 minutes and you lose the appetite to watch TV. Obviously you have to call Rogers to re-authorize the unit. This process was automated at some point, but now is not. Second of all, from time to time Rogers is realigning the channels and as a result of this process there are lost channels that are not shown (or black). In order to watch those lost channels you need to un-plug the unit and wait 10 seconds and plug it back. The 10 seconds are just a bliss because you have to wait 22 minutes after to recover. It is extremely frustrating especially today with the modern technology. All the frustration and longer boot time are explained only by the latest firmware upgrades Rogers did. Before, this unit was decently working only worth two stars. Now is a great disappointment. I would give it one star with indulgence. Please do not buy this unit.

Rogers Nextbox HD Terminal

Bought my HD Terminal with a 55" LED HDTV. Great picture quality, but that is most likely attributable to the TV. The remote control that comes with the Rogers Netbox HD Terminal will not synchronize with my audio system which requires me to now use 2 remotes. (My audio system was synced and controlled by the Rogers Digital Terminal remote that this purchase replaced). There is a bit of lag time when changing channels, resulting in a momentary still image on screen. All and all, a better viewing experience with HD compared to regular digital.
