Good enough for me

The picture is very nice and vibrant. The sound quality is poor (echo-ey), external sound system is a must. The "Smart" software is brutal. Super slow, and had to put my address as USA in order for Netflix to work. It works, but that is it. TV takes 13 seconds to start up. If you are big into the Smart features, I think you should look elsewhere.

Good value

Happy with the picture quality, smart tv features, ability to surf online with included wireless keyboard. Not pleased that Skype needs specific Skype camera. Overall good value for the price I got it for.

Hardware is great, software is unbelievably bad

The good: The hardware is generally good. The TV looks good, the picture is very bright and clear. The inputs and outputs I tried work well enough. Playing movies, pictures and music from a USB drive works, although there's no way to stop the drive before removing it - even when the TV is off, the drive spins. Oh, and the dedicated NetFlix button on the remote works. The Bad: Basic software operations such as channel switching, volume, info, are slow. Sometimes, pressing a button on the remote works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the volume bar shows up, other times it doesn't I use an HD antenna. Channels will disappear from the list, you have to re-scan the channels to get them back. You want info? Wait 90 seconds for the system to load. Some channels cut out for a bit after you switch to them. The audio enhancements don't really do anything, the built-in speakers are poor to start with, and stay that way no matter what you do. The Ugly: The Smart TV features are so badly implemented as to be unusable. For example, you can't access the YouTube app unless you answer a lot of very invasive questions. When you finally get to it, the YouTube search will only accept input from the remote. Unbelievably, you cannot use the included wireless keyboard. With the exception of NetFlix, the Smart TV feature set seems to exist only to provide a checklist on the web and attractive icons on the product box. The bottom line. I liked the hardware well enough to consider keeping it, but even the basic software operations don't work properly. And the Smart TV features - except for NetFlix - are so incomprehensively bad, I cannot imagine why Toshiba would have the nerve to release the product as is. And don't expect software updates to make it better. I'ts been on the market for a year or so - if Toshiba were going to fix it, you would think they would have done so by now. The one star is for the hardware.

Toshiba 7300uc

Recently purchased and will be returning back to the store this week. The picture quality is great but that is it- the remote signal with tv is non existent pretty much rendering the tv useless. I will never purchase a toshiba again.

Great TV

I bought this TV [...] when I moved to Calgary for work. [...]. The picture on the TV is outstanding and the smart TV feature is nice; but I don't have cable so I can't utilize a lot of the features. That's ok, I like having a dedicated button on the remote to instantly access Netflix, no more hassle of turning on the ps3, logging in etc. I was really excited to use the skype feature and tried 2 different webcams with the TV only to find out that you have to buy a TV specific webcam for $120+ that is [...] ridiculous and that is why this TV only get 4 stars... I hate corporate money grabs like that. All things considered this TV is a steal of a deal, particularly if you can get it for under the $[...] price tag. The image quality is second to none in the class and the Smart TV is a nice feature.
