First Router

Honest a great little unit, very inexpensive and very reliable. I recommend this product too anyone who uses minimal Internet usage. Clicking on stars is impossible with this link on my phone.. but I do give this 4 starts out of 5.

Frequently disconnects

You get what you pay for. For the first two weeks this router was working fine. Then every day it started to disconnect. I had to reboot this router everyday for it to work properly. It was already using the latest firmware available so I could not upgrade the firmware to a newer version. Spend some money and get yourself a decent router. Don't waste your time on this.

I am well satisfied with this router

My first router. I'm a luddite, I lag 10 years behind technology. This device is working well, for me. It never dropped a connection yet, but granted, my computers are all within a meter of the device. (The router is a convenience for me more than a necessity.) I don't know how it would look if it worked better or worse. One computer got freezing up all the time when copying or using files from another computer's hard drive, but other computers "hooked" on this wireless router never even caughed. The printer was 2 metres away, and it timed out when trying to hook up to the router. So distance may be a problem for other users. Speed? How would I know? I don't play games (computer games). For file sharing it's more than satisfactory. Hooking up was easy. I plugged it in and it went. In fact, the help files and tutorial (which I used as I did not know what I had been up against) were overkill. You literally hook up the cables (2 of them), one to the modem, if you got internet, and one to a computer; and hook up the power supply, in any order, and it works in a minute's wait time. I give it a five-star coz I don't know better. Again, in short: short range, I found no problems; long range, >2.5 m, problem; speed, unknown, good enough for me.

Could be better

Easy installation. It was dropping connection so often for one of our laptops that we had to return it and get a different device. It worked reasonably for the other devices (2 laptops, 2 cell phones, 1 tablet), although still dropping connection a lot more often than previous wireless router.

Fantastic versatile and robust router

I set up big networking equipment all the time .My client wanted his network back up and working fast. So i got this as a temporary fix the " TP Link N150 Wireless Router ". It has 2 lan ports god if you have 2 computers with ethernet ports.Or like i have a 24 port switch that conects 22 computers with ethernet ports to the TP Link N150 Wireless Router . The Wireless is Excellent as well with 6 computers .I have played 28 different movies on all the commputers at the same time. All of them played with no delay and were all finished downloading in about 40 min .Movie were from a place that has great flix . My Client has reported no problems and would like to keep this TP link Router where it is as the permanant fix. Dont be fooled buy the low price . I am getting 4 more just to keep in case i need them for my other clients. Thank you future shop for having this brand.

Used as a bridge

You can set this router in a bridge mode to your main router to provide internet to other devices (tv, computer) having ethernet port if they don't have wireless adapter.

Great product

It works really well. It's never been flaky, and it's such a steal-price. It's small too. Highly recommend!

Excellent price/quality ratio!

It's a steal for such a price! Used it with a TP Link modem in a 2 bdr apt - the reception was very good. Don't recommend for a bigger place as in farther corners a signal drops significantly. Very easy installation - just follow the instructions on the mini-CD. That was definitely an asset for me.

It's just ok

It was fairly easy to set up but it will not work with wireless printers. It's works ok for the money if you don't use wireless printers.

Good bang for its buck!

Harder to set up than I imagined, but that could be due to my ISP. Either way, I have had no problems with it since I set it up. Works well for my apartment and I always have a good strong signal

Good Price & Works Well

Figuring out how to set it up was a bit difficult since I have a Mac laptop and the set up process is different than for those with a pc, but when I figured it out it was quick and easy. It works great, and the price was perfect for a student like myself! Looking at other reviews I see some with houses had troubles with the signal, but in my little apartment the signal reaches everywhere. Overall very satisfied with my purchase.

Excellent just excellent

Extremely easy to install. much much better than Belkin. I bought this to replace a supposedly very high grade Belkin. It definitely wins in every way. If you don't need more than two ethernet port, then this is the best router you can find among many other expensive brands.

TP Link N150 Wireless Router (TL-WR720N)

It set up instantly after resetting modem works perfectly. Some reviews say it dose not work outside away from house i am glad for security reasons i see that as a plus for the money it is a steal if your looking for a simple router and you only have 2 or 3 devices to use with it.

can't go wrong

good router, i doubled my internet and network speed from my g router. This thing works good for an apartment or small house. I get about 36mb/s and 1gb file takes 5 mins on network.

just shiny...

looks very nice, but that is it! very low range. i used it in regular no concrete house, and on the same floor the signal dropps drastically within 4-5 meters. the receiver was also a TP-LINK usb wi-fi so no doubts about the compatibility. I

Great Range, Easy to Set Up, Very Pleased

This thing is amazingly small, easy to set up, and has a better range than my previous router which had an antenna on it.

Surpassed expectations

Dropped in the mini cd and set up was done for me, and in minutes. Not issues what-so-ever with wireless connection, in fact its surpassing my d link and belkin. Click of another button and its become a wireless bridge so my wifi area has more than doubled. Will be buying another one of these in the next day or 2, for the garage. Cannot get over how powerful and user friendly this is, especially for the price. Cons: if anything, I wish it had an external antenna (not that its needed it so far).
