Lego City: Undercover was a total riot. I've been a fan of the Lego games since the very beginning, but none as much as this one. The hilarious script and nice voice acting made quite the impact while playing this game and are worth experiencing for yourself, especially if you're looking for something fresh in the series. Don't let the cover fool you, this game is pure parody bliss.

Great Game, lots of load times

First off I have been playing this game for 2 days. In that 2 days, when I first started it, it froze and I had to unplug the system to start it again. Then after 5 hours of playing I had a hard crash on the system part way through a mission. Several glitches, most minor. Fantastic game otherwise. I do not know if it is my Wii U or the game that has caused the crashes, but I have not had any previous issues until I put this game in. I absolutely love the comedy of the game. I hope there will be updates to deal with the above mentioned issues soon, because if it was not for the crashes, glitches, and load times this game would be so much better. All in all I absolutely love it and my kids do as well. Just to make things a little clear, I have owned every system and most games since Atari. This is probably the first really good exclusive for the Wii U. Once the issues above this will be likely a 6 out of 5 for me, but for now 4 is a bit more responsible of a rating. I will be getting the pre-quill on the 3DS later in April.

Kid friendly, but still a lot of fun

I bought this for myself and really enjoyed it. Vehicle controls are not very realistic and take some getting use to but you can tell they're designed for casual gamers. Some of the platforming can feel a little off, but over-all is pretty good. If you're wondering whether this is appropriate for children, the violence goes as far as the main character getting punched by bad guys, you do submissive moves on them, then cuff them. You can steal vehicles in the game but the character apologizes, or says it's for important police business. You also break several other laws when undercover, such as a bank robbery, when you cuff the bank guards they say something like "You're cuffing me?!". No one ever dies in this game, if you run someone over in a vehicle they fall over, the protagonist apologizes and they get back up.
