The search is over. Your perfect camera is here.

Packed into a compact and lightweight body, the EOS Rebel T4i Digital SLR camera is a host of advanced Canon technologies that are sure to wow. The 3" vari-angle touch LCD gives you new freedom, and Canon’s high resolution 18 Megapixel CMOS sensor and DiG!C 5 processor are the driving force behind the camera's enhanced performance and amazing image quality. But that’s not all. Check out the review below to get the whole picture.

What's new.

Get ready for your close-up.

Whether it’s your son’s first steps, your BFF’s wedding toast, or your adventure in Venice, this Canon’s got Full HD EOS movie capability so you can capture it all in crisp, vibrant beauty. Canon’s EOS Movies take advantage of DSLR camera features for the ultimate in creative control. Much to the pleasure of aspiring student filmmakers and parents everywhere, the Rebel T4i also features Canon’s new Movie Servo AF providing a quiet, continuous Auto Focusing during HD video recording when using one of Canon’s newly introduced Stepping Motor (STM) lenses. The silent continuous autofocus when shooting HD video helps ensure the camera only captures the sounds of the scene being recorded.

Every which way you turn it.

The brand new 3" Vari-Angle Touch LCD is a first to the Rebel Series and a super handy addition to your shooting arsenal. It lets you easily capture great photos from a ton of angles that would normally be difficult. Are you standing in a crowd and want a shot of the lead singer in action? No problem. Just tilt the LCD screen so that you can see it and hold your camera above your head. It’s made even easier with Easy Touch technology, where you just touch the screen to shoot and personalize. It features a 3:2 wide aspect ratio, and an incredible 1,040,000-pixel resolution, allowing for precise focus checking.

Meet a real sharp shooter.

The High Resolution CMOS Sensor is an 18Megapixel (APS-C sized) CMOS sensor and DiG!C 5 processor that captures incredible high-resolution images that will blow your mind with their sharpness, clarity, tonal range and noise reduction. Frame-worthy gems galore. With Canon’s EOS Scene Detection Technology, the camera automatically analyzes the shooting scene based on faces, colours, brightness, movement, and contrast to give you the most beautiful picture possible.

Make your own masterpiece.

Canon’s Creative Filters let you add fun and cool visual effects to your photos to make them truly your own and are a great way to make photos worth sharing. Choose from new filters such as ‘Art Bold Effect’ and ‘Water Painting Effect’, or favourites like ‘Fisheye’ and ‘Miniature Effect’. Little and big kids alike will love playing around with these filters. You can also get even more creative possibilities by adjusting your photo’s aspect ratio. Choose between 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 and 3:2, and make your images even cooler and more unique.

Picture-perfect, in any light.

Even shutterbugs like it in the dark. Ok, maybe not, but Canon’s high ISO range of 100-12800 (expandable to 25600) lets you snap sweet images even in very dim or very bright lighting. Add in the Auto Mode, and you can rest easy knowing the camera’s got you covered. Also, Canon’s new shooting modes like Handheld Night Scene and Multi-Shot Noise Reduction take multiple pictures, and combine them – in camera – to help capture a wider dynamic range that minimizes the image grain or noise, and produce more vivid colours so landscapes and city scenes are as breathtaking as when seen in person.

Hit it with your best shot.

This Canon’s high-speed, high-precision 9-point autofocus enables accurate focus within a split second with a high-precision dual-cross f/2.8 point at centre. When paired with an S-AF lens, enjoy smooth and noiseless auto-focusing while filming video. Watch these two videos. The first one is shot with a non-T4i DSLR and the other with the T4i. The difference is a sight to behold.

Why you want it.

This is the Canon DSLR you’ve been waiting for. With its 3" Vari-Angle Touch LCD, Easy Touch technology, a 3:2 wide aspect ratio, and an incredible 1,040,000-pixel resolution, you will be totally amazed by just how amazing your images will be.
