With just a flick and a tap you can turn the power on and off, select your input sources, adjust the volume and even stream music. Get access to your music library on your home computer with DLNA connectivity. For all of the audiophiles out there, you’ll be happy to know that FLAC 24-bit/96kHz is also supported. In the mood for some international tunes? The app will also get you thousands of Internet radio stations from around the world.

The very cool Music Play function is built into the Yamaha AV controller app, letting you stream music from your handheld Android or iOS device right into your Yamaha Networking Receiver. On select Yamaha Multi-Zone receivers, you can even stream different music from your device into a different room in your home—watch movies in one room, while streaming music to another room.
You can also stream music from your Apple device using Airplay, built into the RX-V473 and higher receivers. It lets you play back music wirelessly via iTunes from your iPod, iPhone, iPad and computer.
