What's new.
Digital Class D3 Amplifiers make a world of difference.
The groundbreaking performance of the Digital Class D3 Direct Energy HD Amplifier sets it apart from the crowd. This simple, high-power solution takes today’s AV entertainment to the next level.
Unlike other receivers, Pioneer’s Class D3 models can drive up to 9 channels with a total output of 700W simultaneously. Conventional amplifier power ratings are based on a 2-channel load with the actual output per channel when driving multi-channel systems remaining far lower. Class D3 delivers more power creating a richer, fuller audio dynamic that can’t be replicated. They do this while consuming approximately half the power than traditional analog amplifiers, meaning more performance for less energy and lower cost (actual power consumption savings depends on content and speaker configuration). Pioneer has reduced the signal paths 25% shorter than previous models ensuring improved sound quality. The Direct Power FET makes direct contact with the circuit, bypassing the need for wiring, maximizing audio performance, reducing noise, and offering quick-responding sound that’s perfect for digital content playback. In addition, the heat generated by Class D3 is far lower than traditional AV amplifiers, ensuring greater durability.

Calibrate your experience the right way.
Advanced MCACC Auto Room Tuning creates an optimal acoustic environment in any space. Simply plug in the included microphone and the system begins measuring room characteristics (distance/size/sound character/listening position) then actively compensates for these points equalizing response for the best performance. Pioneer’s Advanced MCACC will even automatically check for misconnected cables, and compensate for reverb (echo). Pioneer’s innovation doesn’t end there—the system even calibrates the picture displayed on the television according to the viewing distance.
