For this price, the performance of this smartphone is a no-complainer. Well, until 3 months later, the battery started to show problem. On a full charge, with 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi and most android apps shut off, the battery could only last 30 hrs on standby and less than 15 hrs on moderate usage.
This phone is Android, OS 2.2, don't expect OS 2.3 from Rogers or Acer. Great that the phone allows you to enable hotspot so the phone becomes a wi-fi router to share data. Email is good but BlackBerry email is the best hands down. 500 mb internal storage IS very limiting on this phone. Good voice calls, speaker phone is on the weak side.
I am a female 66. Bought this unit yesterday, (threw out the old Samsung) played with it most of the evening and today. I first set it to turn off every 2 min...now have it set for 10 min. I find this unit just great, but lots to learn. So far SO good.
I have purchased and replaced the cell phone twice because the phone was shutting down by itself at random time without my knowledge or beep. I tried to turn on the unit using power button but it was not turning on until I remove the battery from the unit. I think I will not recommend any one to buy this unit without Product Replacement Plan….
You have to do some homework if you want to buy this phone. 2.2 rom has been installed which has quite a few bugs. Once you upgrade to 2.3.7, it will become a good phone(same level as Galaxy S)
