The Samsung F8000 3D Smart LED TV combines an advanced set of smart features with a sleek, dynamic design and amazingly vivid picture.
Renowned as a leader in UHD 4K TVs, it probably comes as no surprise that Samsung has now brought UHD 4K display technology to its monitor line up. The launch of Samsung’s UD590 28” 4K Monitor is among very few models on the market that are making the 4K viewing experience affordable for all desktop users. Samsung has always held a strong reputation in display technology, but it wasn’t until I sat down to play with the UD590 monitor that I really noticed the stark difference between a truly high-end display and other conventional monitors I’ve used.
If you look around your home and live in the world of Samsung when it comes to your entertainment devices, you are part of a growing ecosystem of the company’s products. All of them are designed to work seamlessly together, pushing content over or picking up where you left off. These also tend to be the devices you use and interact with most, so it stands to reason that they would be able to “talk” to each other. Here’s a quick look at how this web of connectivity actually works.
At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Samsung unveiled an impressive line-up of new curved televisions that are set to redefine the market with their incredible combination of style, performance and features. While the sleek curved screens are getting the lion’s share of attention, that’s really just the tip of the iceberg of what Samsung’s new “Smart” TVs have to offer. Two of Samsung’s new flagship offerings – the Samsung H8000 and the Samsung HU9000 are available now at Future Shop. Come see what these amazing new TVs can do!
The Denver Broncos are heading to the NFL Championship game against the Seattle Seahawks on February 2nd for what is expected to be another blockbuster Super Bowl.
The extravaganza will feature some of the most intriguing new commercials debuting during the game, an over the top halftime show provided by Bruno Mars and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. With more than 110.5 million viewers watching last year’s broadcast, this year’s numbers are expected to be of a similar magnitude.

Not sure which Samsung Tablet is best for you? Compare the differences between the equally stunning 12.2" Samsung Galaxy TabPro & 12.2" Samsung Galaxy NotePro!
A tablet with a 12.2-inch screen is hard to miss, no matter who makes it, but this being the NotePRO, Samsung has combined more real estate with the improved efficiency of the S Pen to create a compelling combination. Of course, at that screen size, it’s almost where the most portable of laptops currently are, raising questions about what you can get out of it over and above its basic tenets. As is, though, it’s a tablet that is easy on the eyes and takes the good things from Samsung’s TouchWiz, while leaving the extraneous stuff out of the way.
Samsung’s new range of Wi-Fi enabled cameras are here, the WB850F DV300F and ST200F
Samsung’s mid-range is an interesting piece, with the WB800F offering some incredible lens options, a touch screen display and integrated WiFi to make it a good choice for customers looking for an all-round do-everything camera.
Samsung’s Galaxy Camera is an Android-powered smart device with a high quality lens and sensor. It’s a camera with incredibly flexible software and complete access to the Google Play Store. This model has Wi-Fi, making it even more accessible to Canadians across the country.
It’s amazing that it hasn’t happened sooner. One of the reasons that the iPhone is one of the world’s most popular cameras is because it’s stupidly easy to use. It’s fun to use. You point at something, tap on it, and take a picture. You tap one part of the screen to review the picture. You tap an arrow to share your picture. It’s just so simple.
But that simplicity belies its powerful nature. It’s a camera that’s connected to WiFi, 3G, or LTE. It’s a camera that has access to your Twitter account and your contacts. It’s a camera that runs apps.
It's about integration. That was the core of the discussion I had with Craig Mclennan last night. He's the VP for the consumer division for Samsung Canada, and while he's only a year into this role he has big plans for the brand.
The Samsung WA/DV50 laundry pair features a huge capacity and the latest Samsung-exclusive technology to get your clothes beautifully clean.
A kitchen isn’t much of a kitchen without a heat source. Continuing our look at how Samsung injects its gadget expertise into everyday appliances, let’s turn our attention to the humble stove. They seem pretty straightforward, right? People don’t often take a look at what’s new with appliances so it is easy to just think that they’re all pretty much the same. With some of the more modern models you may be surprised to learn that they offer as much high technology and fancy features as any new gadget. Looks can be deceiving. The latest models from Samsung can be as different from your old stove as your new smartphone is from that old flip-phone you had in the 1990s.
The kitchen is one area of the house that seems to always change, yet somehow always stay the same. Stoves, refrigerators and microwaves have been staples in the kitchen for decades now but these things change and advance over the years. While most people don’t think of upgrading theirs too often unless something goes wrong, it can be easy to miss a lot of the technological advancements that the latest models offer. With Samsung’s prowess in high tech electronics, they’re the perfect example of what can be done when you apply the latest technologies and smart thinking to everyday appliances.
Samsung is one of those giant tech companies that seems to excel at anything they touch. Their smartphones, TVs, and tablets make news all the time, for example. Their PCs are objects of envy by many. One thing I love about them is that they don’t just focus their efforts and knowhow on niche gadgets. They routinely inject what they learn making high tech toys into the sort of items you might expect to be otherwise referred to as ‘mundane’. Today we’ll look at some of their gadgets that are built specifically to help you in your day-to-day cleanup chores around the house. When an experienced technology company like Samsung make machines to wash your dishes or your clothes, you’ll be surprised at what a vital role tech can play to make routine chores something a little more special.
Whether you’re a first timer at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) or a veteran, it’s clear Samsung is a major player. This was evidenced even an hour before their official press conference held at Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas where the line of anxious conference attendees snaked around half of the second floor of the convention centre. Then, when inside, it was standing room only by the time my colleague Lawrence and I made it in there.
But it was worth the wait. A number of product announcements were made and here are some of items worth noting from today, spanning across a number of categories.
