Best TV for the price

You have the option to update it when you turn it on and you should. My TV took 7 Min to update. Sound not great but play with the EQ and its good. Remote is small, we bought a wireless keyboard so not a big deal. The only real problems I have are only 2 HDMI and very tight fit on the wall mount with the HDMI cables pointing straight out the back rather than on the side or bottom. Setting up the internet apps is slow but no problems after loading and updates. I have researched a lot of TV's and after having to return 3 of them in the last 4 months (including a samsung non-smart TV that turned off all the time) this one is the best!

Not happy at all

Not happy at all. Smart functions are painfull to use so slow. Would be easier to just plug in I pad. Sound sucks sounds so tinny. Not what I would expect from samsung. The picture was so nice and crisp at the store. but when got it home and pluged it into to telus box picture wasn't so clear even on he channels. When you watch on sd TV the black boarder around picture was shakey and the logos like spike tv where shaking as well. For a 120 hz tv I find it very slow and grainy. The manual l it came with says to use e manual on the tv to help you. But the tv says this function is not available. Lots of other adjustments wherent availabile either. Have had this tv a day and it is going back

Great for the price!

We bought it during boxing week sale and the TV is totally worth what we paid for it. Pros: USB input: It decodes most common formats and containers. Supports subtitles and multiple audio tracks. Also supports mouse and keyboard which goes well with the browser and YouTube app. Picture quality: Is rather good. We mostly watch movies. So, we turned off the 120Hz soap opera effect and things look great. Lot of options to tweak with picture settings to fine-tune it to your taste and room lighting. Optical sound output: Great if you want to hook up a 5.1 speaker system for DTS and Dolby sound. Smart Hub: Typing is a bit of a pain unless you hook up a full keyboard, but the app choice is rather good. Has Netflix, YouTube, Crackle and other common apps. Also, has a full browser if you want to stream ComedyNetwork, etc. DLNA: Works as expected. Reduced glare: We have the TV facing a window and even with our light curtains drawn, it's great. In fact, sometimes we leave the curtains open - there is a very light reflection but you can still watch the content fairly well. Easy setup: Took <20 mins to be up and running. Cons: Speakers: The speakers are okay for spoken words. Once you get into sound effects, they are not able to handle it. Recommend external speakers. Plastic looks cheap: The plastic on the frame and stand look cheap. Allshare/Miracast: Was not able to get this going. I don't have a Samsung phone, but Miracast should work with other compatible devices. Wasn't able to set it up after numerous tries. Frame: The frame looks flimsy. We haven't had any issues so far, but we try to be careful when switching inputs, etc. Tips: We found that turning off all the video enhancements actually made the picture look better in our room. So, now we have standard picture with none of the motion enhancements. Play around till you get what you want. Bottom line: Definitely a good buy with a lot of features. Great for watching movies and TV shows. You will likely need an external speaker system or sound bar.

Samsung UN55FH6200 LED Smart HDTV

Excellent picture. Sound is acceptable. Unsteady base mount. Remote is too small in size for all the functions. Lots of finger problems inputting data. User manual is not bad but has cryptic instructions, so can be confusing Smart internet system works but is very clumsy to use. Must laboriously input Internet URLs and store in bookmarks. Can get back to these fairly easily later but it is a slow and frustrating process. Occasional dropouts occur. Set badly needs a Bluetooth remote keyboard and mouse to speed things up. All in all, not bad for the price that I paid for it. Recommended in spite of problems.
