had this for a few years already, but the cable has started to rip off, i have this at the edge of my desk against the wall and that really hinders how the cable can move and with all that extra pressure, it ended up ripping one cord. i don't know how to fix it, but if i have to get a new one, this would be worth getting another one

good for around 2 months.

I bought the cooler and after around 2 months stop working properly. One of the fans quit working and the other one was blowing against the internal computer fan, making the computer warmer than originally was. Impossible to disassemble to fix the problem.

What a relief!

I thought my 6 month old computer was dieing. It seemed to never be able to maintain its 1.8 MHz rated speed - until I did some research and understood what Speedstep was for and how it worked. In any case I was running at less than 1/2 speed, actually 0.77MHz when I had my laptop actually on my lap. I bought this simple gadget, plugged it in, ran some processor intensive work and within 30 seconds I was watching the CPU speed climb up to 1.8 to 2 to 2.4 finally to 2.95MHz! Great, now I am getting the speed I always thought my PC could do and the added benefit of extending the life of the equipment itself. - 2 fans are better than one, in case one fails as inevitably they do - these fans circulate air directly into the cooling slots of my Dell laptop. - The USB cord can be used to the left or to the right side of the computer. I have a 15.6" machine so I had lots of cord length to plug it in - it might be a bit tight for a 17" laptop. - The additional pitch/slope of the cooler makes it a bit easier to use the keyboard as well. - The rubber ridges on the cooler match my computer exactly for location -- no worries about the laptop slipping on the surface.

Ok for regular use

I bought this product to allow me to use my laptop. When I play games I have this cooling mat, dollar store fan and laptops fans running on full. When all are running I can keep the laptop cool. Silent and brings your laptop on a nice angle to type with. Takes up a use port, for its price [...], it should have a USB port on the front.

Worked great when I had a giant laptop/jet engine, got rid of that and was wondering what to use it for and found it works great to keep the wireless router cool (Rogers routers can heat a room).
