Bad Product

This is a poor choice if your looking for a new power supply. I bought this to replace a power supply that was having issues and when I installed the Thermaltake TR2 600W I continued to have the same problem. After many hours spent troubleshooting assuming it couldn't possibly be the brand new power supply that I just purchased, I bought another just to see and sure enough it worked just fine. It's possible this was just a flaw in this one particular power supply, but I've read similar reviews on this product and personally wouldn't recommend it.

Don't waste your money

First one I bought died within hours. Second one is running fine, however it is not a 600 watt (as advertised). I have an R9 280x Asus Direct CUII video card. My spare 500 watt PSU has no issues running my computer. TR2 600 on the other hand can't run my system. My guess is that this power supply is actually about 450 watt or below rather than 600 watt. It seems to work fine if I use strictly to power video card and my spare power supply to power the rest of the system.

tr2 600

I put a new nvidia video card in my dell desktop - it was only 300W and didn't have the 12v connector for a video card and so i bought the 400W dynex power supply from future shop. Found out once i put it in that the 400W watts is only "peak" power and it tripped out whenever the graphics got slightly taxing. Put my wattmeter on it and it was only drawing 200W. So I bought the thermatake 600 w which works great and has lots of connections. No more tripping! Stay away from the Dynex junk.
