How do I exchange or return product I bought online?
Exchanging or returning product is very simple: you can take product to your local store or send it back to us via the mail.
To return a product purchased in-store, follow these steps:
- Bring your original receipt and the item in its original condition including any accessories to any Future Shop retail store for an exchange or refund within 30 days for most products.
- 14 days of purchase for desktop and laptop computers, monitors, printers, camcorders, digital cameras, portable DVD players and air conditioners.
- Returns will be processed to the original method of payment
To return or exchange a product purchased online at futureshop.ca, you have two easy options:
You can return/exchange in a physical store location following these steps:
- Print out your purchase receipt from My Orders
- Bring your receipt, packing slip and the item in its original condition including any accessories to any Future Shop retail store for an exchange or full refund within:
30 days of receiving your order for most product categories.
- 14 days of receiving your order for desktop and laptop computers, monitors, printers, camcorders, digital cameras, portable DVD players and air conditioners.
- Our customer service department will help you with your exchange or refund the full value of your purchase. The funds will be applied to your credit card within seven days. To find a store near you, please click here.
Online-only products
Products that are available online only can also be returned to any Future Shop store presentation of the sales receipt. You’ll be refunded the unit price of the item, minus the shipping cost. If the item was defective and we can’t replace it, we will also refund the shipping cost.
Online-only products cannot be exchanged for an identical item in a Future shop store as they are only sold through our online store. You can exchange it for a different product sold in the store or follow the Exchanges and Returns - By Mail instructions below.
Products purchased online and picked up in-store can also be exchanged in any Future Shop store, and via mail (see instructions below).
Exchanges and Returns - By mail
We also accept exchanges and returns through the mail. Please ensure that you complete our online return form before sending any item(s) back to us. We'll email you further instructions shortly after we receive your request. You'll need access to a printer to print the return label. You will also need to pay the shipping cost when you ship the item back to us.
To return or exchange a Special Delivery item:
If you need to exchange or return any online purchase that is a Special Delivery item, please call us to arrange pickup. You can find our contact info here.
Note: Shipping and handling (S&H) charges are non-refundable; however, we will gladly refund your original shipping cost if you are returning an item because of an error on our part, or we have determined that the product is defective.
