Our retail store policies

Buy it online, return it in-store

Need to exchange or refund your futureshop.ca purchase? It's as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Print out your purchase receipt from MY ORDERS.
  2. Bring your receipt, packing slip and new, unused item(s) to any Future Shop retail store for an exchange or full refund within:
    • 30 days of receiving your order for most product categories.
    • 14 days of receiving your order for Computers, Monitors, Printers, Laptop Computers, Camcorders, Digital Cameras, Portable DVD Players and Air Conditioners.
  3. Our customer service department will help you with your exchange or refund the full value of your purchase. The funds will be applied toyour credit card within seven (7) days.

If you would like to return a heavy goods item, please contact our Customer Care Department at 1-800-663-2275. Shipping and handling (S&H) charges are non-refundable; however, we will gladly refund your original shipping cost if you are returning an item because of an error on our part, or we have determined that the product is defective.

Web Only products

Products that are available online only can also be returned to any Future Shop store for a full refund upon presentation of the sales receipt. Exchanges for these products however cannot be handled at a Future Shop store since they are sold only through our online store.

Please note the following conditions:

Product packaging includes all manuals & accessories. There will be a nominal charge for missing packaging, accessories or manuals.

Returns and exchanges require your name, address, phone number and signature for audit and fraud prevention purposes. Valid photo ID may be requested to confirm this information. See the Privacy Policy for more details. Returns with original receipt will be made to the original method of payment. Store credit will be given for returns with gift receipts.

Due to copyright laws, computer and game console software, music CDs, DVDs and videos in opened packages may only be exchanged for the same title. Installation is not refundable if the service has been performed.

Exchanging or returning products purchased in-store

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchases, Future Shop will gladly give you a full refund or exchange. Simply return the product within 30 days (14 days for Computers, Monitors, Printers, Notebook Computers, Camcorders, Digital Cameras, Radar Detectors, Portable DVD Players and Air Conditioners) in its original condition and packaging (including all manuals & accessories) along with the original sales receipts. There will be a nominal charge for missing packaging, accessories or manuals.

We may also request your name, home address, and phone number for all returns and exchanges. Valid photo ID may be requested to confirm this information. See the Privacy Policy for more details.

Due to copyright laws, computer and game console software, music CDs, DVDs and videos in opened packages may only be exchanged for the same item. Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. All transactions, including price protection, require your original Future Shop sales receipt or electronic invoice (obtainable anytime from "my orders") for online orders.

Computer and Game Console Software, Music CDs, DVDs and Videos - Unopened products may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase and opened products may be exchanged for the same item (no refunds) within 30 days of purchase.

  • Our associates will verify that the item is in stock and available for

  • We will refund you the difference and give you an additional 10%
    of that difference.

If our own price is reduced in the last 30 days*:

  • Present us with a copy of our original invoice.
  • We will refund you the difference between the purchase price and the current price.

Here are a few terms and conditions.

The advertised item must be for the same brand and model and the product must be new and factory sealed, and subject to a manufacturer’s warranty applicable in Canada.

Advertised prices must be in Canadian dollars, and will be calculated as including all charges applicable for next day delivery to your home address.

The advertised item must be sold through an authorized dealer located in Canada. The terms and conditions of “Get it for less, guaranteed™” are subject to change without notice.

Our lowest price guarantee does not apply to advertising errors or misprints, special educational prices, restricted offers, mail order offers, rebates, coupons, premiums, free or bonus offers, OEM products, limited or minimum quantity or limited time offers, close-outs, liquidations, clearances, financing or other special offers.
