What is a Product Service Plan?
Future Shop's Product Service Plan is a warranty service plan with added benefits and value. We go beyond most manufacturer's warranties by offering you additional benefits during the manufacturer's warranty and throughout the entire coverage period. The Product Service Plan provides you with service as stipulated in the terms and conditions with no hidden fees or deductibles.

How does a Product Service Plan work?

24 hour Customer Service
Future Shop's trained customer service representatives are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Your Product Service Plan provides you prompt and courteous service. Simply call 1-800-663-2275 for assistance.

Performance Guarantee
Your Product Service Plan coverage goes beyond most manufacturer's warranties, guaranteeing that your product will perform to the manufacturer's specifications for the duration of the coverage.

Replacement Guarantee
You'll have peace of mind knowing that your product will be replaced if we are unable to repair it, or if the repair will take longer than 60 days.

No Lemon Guarantee
If your product requires more than three major repairs, we'll provide you with a replacement product.

Power Surge Protection
Your product will be repaired or replaced should it be damaged by a power surge (hardware only - software and data not included).

Accessory Coverage
Accessories and peripheral devices that come with your product are protected by your Product Service Plan, provided they came in the original manufacturer's package.

Global Coverage
Your Product Service Plan provides you with global coverage. To arrange for service within Canada or the US, call 1-800-663-2275. In all other locations, call 613-634-4643.

Fully Insured
Your Product Service Plan is fully insured by American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida meaning you're always protected.

How does a Product Replacement Plan work?
With a Future Shop Product Replacement Plan, we don't fix your products, we replace them. Benefits include:

Full Replacement Guarantee
If your product is found defective under normal usage, we will provide a replacement credit so you can purchase a new one.

Canada-wide Redemption
Redeem your gift card at any Future Shop bricks and mortar location throughout Canada or online.

What is On-Site Service?
On-Site Service provides hassle-free repairs by bringing Service right to your door. Should your purchase need servicing, a specialized product technician will be sent directly to your home, eliminating the need for you to transport your product to a store. If On-Site Service is not available in your area, we will arrange for a courier to ship your product to and from the Service Centre. This service is available for Televisions 24 inches and larger, Computers, Major Appliances, and Over the Range Microwaves.

What is Courier Service?
For Notebooks and Computer/Monitor packages, a courier service is offered where Future Shop will arrange to have the product picked up and delivered to a repair depot for service, and then returned to you upon service completion. Simply call 1-800-663-2275 for service.

What is Carry-In Service?
For Carry-In Service, simply bring your product to a Future Shop store location for service.

What is the Computer Peripheral Device Exchange Program?
For certain products, the Product Service Plan offers a replacement product for your defective unit. This means you do not have to wait for your product to be repaired, you simply bring your defective unit to a Future Shop store location for an exchange. Products included in this program are: networking devices, hard drives, CD/DVD Writers, audio/video cards, processors, motherboards, USB flash drives, RAM & modems

How do I find out if my product is eligible for a service plan?
All products that are eligible for a Product Service Plan will feature the Product Service Plan's logo near the price on the product page. If the product page does not have this image, then the product is not eligible for a Product Service Plan.

How do I buy a Product Service Plan online?
Click on the Product Service Plan logo found near the price on the product page. You will be presented with the Product Service Plan's available service terms and prices for that product. Select the service term you want (i.e. One year, two years, etc…) and click the "continue" button. You will then have an opportunity to read the full Terms and Conditions. If you would like to purchase the Product Service Plan, simply click on the "I Accept" button. Clicking on "I Accept" will place both the product and the Product Service Plan in your shopping basket. From the basket you can either continue shopping or move directly to the check-out process.

Can I purchase a Product Service Plan on a product I already purchased online?
Yes. Simply visit your local Future Shop store within 30 days of receipt of your purchase and request your product's Product Service Plan.

Can I purchase a Product Service Plan on a product I already purchased at a store?
Yes. Simply return to the store within 30 days from the time you purchased your product and request the accompanying Product Service Plan.

When does my Product Service Plan start?
Your Product Service Plan will begin on the date your purchase is shipped plus 5 days, to allow for transit.

Example: 4 Year Product Service Plan
Date you ordered your purchase online: Date your purchase is shipped: Date your Product Service Plan starts:
January 12, 2004 January 15, 2004 January 20, 2004

When does my Product Service Plan expire?
The date your Product Service Plan will expire is dependent on the length of term purchased. If you purchase a four year Plan, your Product Service Plan will expire exactly four years from the date it started.

Date you ordered your purchase online: Date your purchase is shipped: Date your Product Service Plan starts: Date your Product Service Plan Expires:
January 12, 2004 January 15, 2004 January 20, 2004 January 20, 2008

Is the Product Service Plan renewable?
Future Shop does not offer a renewal program at this time.

Is the Product Service Plan transferable?
Yes, the Product Service Plan is transferable to a new owner. This is a great way to make your product easier to resell. This also makes the Product Service Plan a great addition to any gift. There is no additional paperwork involved; simply give the new owner a copy of your original receipt.

Does my Product Service Plan include installation?
Installation is not part of your Product Service Plan's wide-ranging coverage. Your Product Service Plan specializes in service adjustments and comprehensive repairs that ensure your product performs at the level it was designed to.

May I return my Product Service Plan?
Yes: Product Service Plan can be returned within 30 days of receiving your product for a full refund. All store PSP purchases can only be refunded in the store where it was bought: online PSP purchases can only be refunded by calling 1-800-663-2275.

Can I get a copy of my Product Service Plan?
You can view and print the Terms & Conditions of your Product Service Plan at any time by looking at your order information. Simply click on My Orders at the very top of the page and log into the system.

How do I get Service?
If you purchased Carry-in Service or a product with an Exchange Program, you may take your product directly to a Future Shop store location for servicing.

If you purchased On-site Service or Courier Service, simply call 1-800-663-2275. Future Shop's trained customer service representatives are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, providing you with prompt and courteous service. Your customer service representative will direct you through the service process, and ensure that your product receives servicing as soon as possible.
