Rules and Regulations for Future Shop’s Beat the Clock Program (the “Promotion”)

1. Visit Future Shop’s Twitter page, Facebook page, the Community Forum and/or futureshop.ca (the “Locations”) and look for “Beat the Clock” notices regarding discounts for Future Shop products daily at 6pm PST (9pm EST).



2. Limit of one discount per person. Participants using multiple discounts will be disqualified.

3. The Promotion is open to residents of Canada only who are over the age of 13 (the minimum age required to participate in the Community). Where an entrant is a minor, a parent or legal guardian who has reached the age of majority in his or her Province of residence, must confirm the participant's acceptance of these rules and regulations. Any discount received by a minor may be used by the minor’s parent or legal guardian.



4. The Contest is not open to employees, officers, and directors of Future Shop, the Reward provider(s) and their respective parents, subsidiaries, or affiliated companies, their advertising and promotion agencies, or their other representatives or agents, or anyone with whom any of the foregoing is domiciled.

5. The Promotion administrators will post a notice at any or all of the Locations regarding a discount on a product sold at futureshop.ca (the “Discount”).



6. The number of Discounts available and the value of the Discount will vary for each Discount.



7. Future Shop reserves the right to terminate the Promotion at any time, following the completion of the then current Discount posting.



8. The Discount can only be used online at futureshop.ca.



9. The Discount notice will state the number of Discounts available and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.



10. The Promotion administrators will not advise participants when the Discounts are no longer available either due to use or expiration.



11. The Discount is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and is not redeemable for cash.



12. Future Shop reserves the right to substitute the Discount in whole or in part with a Discount of equal or greater retail value, at its sole discretion.

13. Future Shop and its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for, or liable to any Promotion entrant or any other person for:
    
    
    • any delays in processing orders that may result in the loss of a Discount opportunity, regardless of the cause;
    • any failure for any reason whatsoever of the selected entrant to receive or become aware of a Discount notification;
    • any computer, online, telephone, or technical malfunctions or errors that may occur, regardless of the cause; or
    • any damage or loss, including any loss of use, loss of production, loss of profits (anticipated or otherwise), loss of markets, economic loss, special, indirect or consequential loss or damage or punitive damages, whether in contract, tort or under any other theory of law or equity, arising from, connected with, or relating to the Promotion or the submission of entries to the Promotion or participation in the Promotion or the Discount, or the use of the [enter community forum website] web site (including the downloading of any materials from that web site) and regardless of the cause or any negligence by Future Shop or anyone for whom Future Shop is responsible, and notwithstanding that Future Shop may have been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage being incurred.

14. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of being conducted as intended by Future Shop, including due to computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause that corrupts or interferes with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, Future Shop may, at its sole discretion, disqualify any entrant responsible for such misconduct and cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Promotion.



15. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR INTERFERE WITH THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND FUTURE SHOP RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND/OR OTHER RELIEF FROM ALL RESPONSIBLE PERSONS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.



16. The decisions of the Promotion administrators in respect of any aspect of the Promotion are final and binding on all participants.



17. Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance and agreement to these Promotion rules.



18. Future Shop reserves the right, at their option, to publish participant's name, address, photograph, likeness, voice or statements without any compensation to the participant.



19. The Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and is void where prohibited by law. If any provision of these rules is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, all other provisions will remain in full force and effect.
